Much quieter and much more efficient. ********** Update a few months later: The inside fan noise has increased from almost nothing to an annoying vibration. Just installed the unit. It is currently 114 outside and has taken the temperature in my living room from 82 to 77 ..the unit looks very nice and is incredibly quiet...im extremely pleased..editing my review..2 days after I bought the unit it started showing a p8 error..contacted support..they suggested I pay a hvac tech to come verify the p8 error...long story short I would not recommend this unit .go with a name brand. ... show more
