I went to Sicily and I needed it my own network for my work. So I bought this in the states before I left. I went to a sim card place in Sicily and for 25 euros I got a sim card and 200 GB! What a deal! I put the sim card in it...turn the modem on and put it close to a window.. too much concrete in Sicily lol! It took about 20 mins .. but after that.... I purchased this router from Airtime Store. This router worked pretty well in India with AirTel prepaid SIM. It does have a port for external antenna but I did not use an external antenna, still the speed was surprisingly fast. People wondered if I was taking those video call on Microsoft Teams from USA. The only drawback was weak WiFi signal across brick and mortal walls. The signal was weak in the other rooms on the same floor and nearly non-existent on the second floor of two story brick and mortar house. Major disappointment. You may as well use a mobile phone and tether the internet to your device. The speed on this device is very disappointing. Reminds me of dial-up. Don't buy.
