Unit seem well built. I did find the pump arm to be a bit awkward. Pressure release valve is the grey button on the main fill-cap. Press it. It needs nearly constant pumping while spraying. If you pump to max pressure it will last about a minute of spraying. If you plan on frequent use get a battery powered. No issues with straps as some reviewers claim. ... show more

Used this for 2 years occasionally, last fall it started leaking. I saved it till now hoping I could fix it but no luck. For $90 something I believe Roundup can recommend a better product. Oh it worked fine a few times. Ironic that this is the sprayer they call “no leak”.

I've been using a smaller 2 gallon hand-held sprayer for a long time. I always got sore lugging that thing around the yard, especially when it was full, and going back and forth to refill it was a pain. I've used this sprayer twice now with a weed killer concentrate, and I love it. The backpack is heavy. With 4 gallon capacity, it's much heavier than my 2 gallon hand-held. But the straps are setup well, and it was very comfortable to walk around in. It was very easy to keep pressurized, and I didn't have any seal problems. The wand is also great, and I really enjoyed the "lock on" feature. All in all, I cut my yard work time down by 50%. I'll update if I ever develop issues with this thing, but so far it's a winner. ... show more

My husband ordered this to make spraying bushes, weeds, etc. easier than carrying a hand pump sprayer. This is so much easier for hands free carrying. However, the one complaint he has is that the lever has to be to pumped over and over again with lots of short pumps. He preferred the battery operated back pack sprayer he had before because it took less pumping because it had a longer cylinder, but the battery wore out after about 4 yrs. So, he thought he'd try this one without the battery. All in all it works well and is more convenient than a hand held sprayer, but it takes more pumping to get it to spray than he would like. ... show more

I was in the market for a backpack sprayer for a food plot I was setting up. I looked near and far and settled on this one because it is a good balance of quality and price. I got it in a timely manner and opens the box. It was packaged very well but took me a minute to figure out how to put the handle on correctly. Once I decided to read the instructions (hard for a man) I figured it out. This thing works great! I was able to pump and spray to my hearts content.
