They sent the wrong charging cable, bit I have tons cords so it didn't bother me. The phone itself doesn't have any marks or scuffs that I can see. The screen blacked out during set up, which is apparently a common problem. A simple YouTube search showed how to do a manual restart. -Hold down the down volume button and the power button until the screen turned back on. This actually took longer than was expected, maybe a full minute of holding the buttons down together before it restarted. Once that happened I was able to complete setup without any further problems. That has been several days ago and there have been no further "black screen" issues. Fast and sleek looking phone. The size is great for me, I like the more compact phones, one that will fit in my front pocket easily. I don't like large phones. This is small yet feels good in the hand, I don't feel like I'm going to drop it or break some wafer thin phone. Not too small, and finally not a huge phone that stretches my fingers to hold it. This is comfortable to operate. Both with and without the speaker, the sound for calls is clear and the other party can hear me clearly and well. The speakers for streaming or music are the typical phone speakers and leave something to be desired, but that's what earbuds are for I suppose. Second day of using the phone. Upgraded from a Samsung A14 and kind of obsessed with the S23 since it's my first flagship. The camera is great; the UI is snappy, quick and customisable. There are only two very minor scratches on the side of the phone near the bezel. The phone came unlocked and works great! Make sure to look up the reviews of the seller, and you'll be fine. S23 has Cell Connection Issues. BEWARE!

I purchased this phone "refurbished" from Amazon in August, 2025. It is now February, 2026 (around 6 months later) and the phone will not connect consistently with the cell network. It sometimes connects, but then after loading one page (Amazon for example) the network connectivity drops. When I'm traveling I cannot get Google maps to reload if I stop it and then try to reload a different route. WIFI connectivity works great, but not cell / data. I went through the various reset of the network settings, and spent over an hour on the phone with my carrier trying different options (checking the SIM card, changing towers in my area, trying different operators like AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile). Nothing fixed the issue. I called "UBreakItIfixIt" in Lexington, KY and was told that this is a known issue with this model (S23 Samsung), and that since I didn't have insurance I just had to get a new phone. Thanks for nothing, Samsung! If you go online and Google "S23 has trouble connecting to cellular network" you will see that this is an issue for many people with this phone. ... show more
