All fabrics are pre-approved for wearability and durability against Afar standards. Cushion cores are constructed of low melt fiber wrapped over high quality foam. A sturdy frame supports the piece, Constructed from solid kiln- dried hardwood and finished in a rich espresso. Padding is provided by high- density foam.

Purchased 2 of these chairs to go on either side of our fireplace for ample seating. WOW. Very sturdy, high quality chairs. They assemble with 10 or 12 bolts (the bolts are huge and almost overkill, but that's what helps provide the support). If you buy more than 1 chair, you will also notice the pattern of the fabric is not exact on each unit, which I find neat because no two chairs look like a copy/paste. Highly recommend. ... show more

Relied on summation of reviews when purchasing. There was NO ease of assembly, which is the main reason for ordering. Very nice looking chair, however, instructions were TERRIBLE. Shows to lay flat on floor to assemble, however, screws would not line up. You actually have to raise bottom piece off floor in order to make holes "flush" to get them to screw in. Furthermore, when installing front legs, there was no mention in the instructions that there was velcro that needed to be lifted up in order to get to mounting holes. TWO MAJOR MISTAKES IN INSTRUCTIONS. What should have taken 15 mtes took 1 HOUR!!! Almost thought I would have to return. This would be extremely difficult for someone who is looking for ease of assembly by just screwing legs into predrilled holes. ... show more

I ordered this accent chair in the Script design to use as a desk chair in my livingroom. It is perfect. Assembly took about 20 minutes as you have to screw the back and seat together as well as screw in the legs. Underneath the seat is a velcro cover that of course can be removed for assembly. The back is slightly wing-backed and curved, which is really comfortable when leaning against it. The seat is really comfortable as well. It is soft but not so much that you sink down. There are metal coils underneath the cushion to prevent sinking, but there's enough cushion to prevent you from feeling the coils. My desk is 30 inches high and this chair is the perfect height to sit comfortably at it. The only issues I had was the chemical smell right out of the box, but it's been less than 24 hours since and the smell has disappeared, and some sort of residue on the fabric that felt really strange on my skin, but a quick wipe down of the fabric remedied that. As other reviewers have noted, this chair looks nice (once it’s assembled), and is comfortable. I knocked off a star because the pieces look like they were just thrown together: big, visible staples, and the wooden parts look like a beaver chewed them into being. I had to use a hammer to drive in one of the screws because the opening did not go all the way through. But I’m fully aware that $100 will not get you Ethan Allen, and the chair is fine for my purposes (back room). ... show more
