I am cheap, let's start with that. I have always bout a cheap soft tri-fold cover and was happy with it. I recently purchased a new truck and thought I'd spend a little extra on a hard tri-fold cover. I couldn't be happier. I bragged it up so much that my coworker went out and bought the same one. Just bought a new Tundra and needed a bed cover. Looked at several below and above this price point, but glad I made the coice I did. Watch a good youtube video on the install before you start and it should be easy. It's HEAVY, so make sure you have some help. It has rained twice since install, and it's NOT leakproof, but not much and you will figure out where pretty quick. This product took about 30 minutes to install by myself. I hesitated to try to install before work one morning, but managed to be able to complete the install without any issues. This tonneau cover seems to be very solid and the the rain that started shortly after installation was unable to get into the bed of the truck. I like that this cover is more secure than the roll-up vinyl covers I've had in the past. I did not like that I needed to drill the drain holes for the drains into the bed of my composite truck bed. (There were holes there from a prior install...maybe, but I had to make them bigger for this cover.) One corner near the tailgate wasn't as tight fitting to the lock pin. I'm going to see if that means another adjustment needs made to the install. ... show more

I received this yesterday and installed it right away. The cover feels nice and seems durable overall. However, there’s a noticeable dent on both sides at the fold in the rubber. I don’t know if they will go away or not but looks dip. This could potentially rip over time, so I’m returning it for a replacement. ... show more

Purchased this cover and noticed damage while installing. Appears damage occurred due to insufficient packing material to prevent center pin on drivers side from contacting first panel during shipping. The imprint is directly below the pin when folded. The rubber seal along the outer edge is deformed from the panels being folded for shipping. The left and right sides where each panel folds has the same defect as shown in photo. I live in the SW where the weather is warm, and the outer seal has not relaxed back to it's original shape. It's been a week since installing it and hasn't changed. Before purchasing, I watched the rough country youtube installation vid for this cover, and the cover in the vid is different to the one I received. The vid shows the guy having to push the tonneau seal down between the cab and bed. The seal appears to be at least 3 inches. The one I received is only 1 inch, barely making it to the front of the bed to prevent water from entering the bed. Not sure if it will keep water out. I couldn't fit it closer to the cab because the rear of the tonneau was not on the tailgate. The end result is the photos I included. The rear tonneau seal is only .25' past the top edge of the tailgate. I'm certain this will not work well in heavy rain. I sent photos to Rough Country customer service. They really didn't seem interested only telling me to contact the seller at Amazon to return the product. I wanted to contact the seller but that information was not available. This cover took me 4 hours to install. If they didn't make their product using the bare minimum of materials, it would have been easier to fit and not have to worry about leakage. Easy to install, fits well & no leaks . The price makes this cover attractive over ones costing twice as much. The panels are a foam core covered with thin sheets of aluminum vs solid aluminum. I suspect this is how RC is meeting this price point. The design doesn't seem to hurt the strength of the cover. So far I'm extremely happy, time will tell! ... show more

Installed easily, but fitment with Tundra trak system is not fully flush with the seal and top of bed rail. Adjusted the rails a few times, but has the same gap. Additionally, the cover came with a slight indentation on the left/front side. Not going to return because I didn't see the dent until it was already fully installed. It would be nice if Amazon/Seller would offer some amount of credit back for the damage and for not returning it. :) ... show more
