  • Great addition to my F250
Style: Hard Flip Up
Lots of different cover styles and manufacturers so was a little worried about which to pick. Reviews were good and installation videos showed a good fit and simple installation. All parts were present but the foam strip was about three inches too short to reach across the bed to close the gap. Just installed yesterday. Looks and works great. Will need to see if the water stays out of the bed, at least reasonably. I have written installation instructions before and think these could use some improvements. These appear to be written by someone that is too familiar with the installation who assumes some things are just obvious to a first time buyer. The usage of the knobs on the latches is not explained well. How do you know how far to adjust, all the way up or partly up? There are four clamps for my truck not three. I assume the ball nuts go on the carriage bolts as the last thing as they can't go anywhere else. Don't mean to be a nit-picker on this but I used to run a service organization and so look at closely at installation instructions. Update: Like some others have said, it can/does leak water. Not all people report this so there might be something in the design or install that makes this happen in some cases. I like the cover otherwise so decided to figure out why. It turns out water is channeled along a strip of rubber that reaches the front of the bed and drains out small hoses. The problem is that the channel gets squeezed by the back edge of the front cross strip when it is tightened to hold the cover in place. I put some ~1/8" aluminum square spacers next to the channels so that when the cover is tightened by the front bolts, the top does not squeeze down and squeeze the channel shut. If you fold the cover completely open and look at the channels you can see where they could get squeezed to prevent the water from draining. Forcing the channel to remain open fixed the leaking problem. I now believe I have a great working foldable cover that is reasonably rain resistant. The truck bed seems to remain dry in really bad weather. Mystery solved. ... show more

  • Easy to install, looks good
Style: Hard Flip Up
My main requirement was the ability to access the entire cargo area while not paying a fortune. Some of the other brand name tops are pretty nice, but I could not justify the $1300 price tag. Directions are fine, but it is worth looking at the RC videos that will make it much easier to install. I would have preferred a full length rail as shown in the photos and videos, but realized they were installing it on a Ram with the really short bed. All other normal size beds require an rail extension. The extension works fine and appears to have a good water seal. The water drain tube is thin and kinks easily. For those with a drain hole up near the top, just go out and buy some plastic 3/8 inch 90 degree turns and that will take care of it. It took me a little longer to install since I just put in a plastic bed liner and I had to make a few adjustments to the liner and rail to make it fit. My one negative comment is that some of the more expensive brands allow you to close the tailgate with the top closed. For this unit, you have to close the tailgate first, then lock the cover. Overall, I think it is a good value. ... show more

  • Very satisfied

Fit perfectly and got it quickly and a very good price for my 2025 F-250

  • "Flip Up" bed covers are heavy!
Style: Hard Flip Up
This is my sixth bed cover in about 25 years. Two that roll up and four that flip up. I'm getting close to 70, and the flip up covers for 6'10" beds on a super duty (because of the height) are getting pretty heavy to flip while standing on the ground. For higher trucks with longer beds, you might want to consider a roll up type. Having said that, I have previously bought the name brand covers, and they have been OK. The last one from 2019 actually was not that great. The struts broke quickly, and the latches seemed to always be misaligned. This RC bed cover is the same but "different". The struts are the same design, but the latches seem to operate very smoothly. For the $400-500 price difference between this and the major brand, I'm happy to give this one try. ... show more

  • Cheap
Style: Retractable
Rough country is a good name in the 4x4 family but the cover is built cheap and doesn’t seal to keep the rain out. It looks good but cheap. Would not recommend it

  • There are multiple models, check to be sure its the full open or 2/3 open, check the model numbers.
Style: Hard Flip Up
I purchased the model that can stand up all 3 panels. That is the way to go. Instructions are awful, but it is simple enough to figure out. It takes about an hour. Proper adjustment to make sure its square and opens closes smooth before you secure the section toward the bulk head. Hope it lasts. My hard cover on my other truck is in great shape after 20 years in the FL sun. This has exposed rubber, time will tell. The access to the bed without removing the entire lid is what made me try it. The price is about 50-60 percent of a hard cover as well. So if I get 6-7 years out of it, I am good with the purchase. ... show more

  • Really easy to install

Works great, keeps the rain out. Hardest part of install is putting the cover up on the truck

  • Great tonneau!
Style: Hard Flip Up
Excellent cover. I am very impressed with this cover. I was a bit worried when I ordered this based on the price relative to other covers. To my surprise, it is well built and very sturdy. Installed easily and fits great. No leaks so far.
