I love this lamp how it looks in my living room. It’s great quality for the price-I’d say much better quality than one you might get at Walmart for the same price. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was due to poor packaging and an item missing. The actual lamp’s box looked like it had been run over by a train-torn up and ripped apart. Half the box was missing and styrofoam was exposed. It’s a wonder the lamp wasn’t damaged. When I opened it I thought all the pieces were there, but then of course at the end of putting it together, I realized the ring that holds the lamp shade up was missing. Without that piece, the lamp shade would fall off. Pretty ridiculous especially when the ring was supposed to be screwed into the bulb socket to begin with. However, I compromised and used tape to hold the lamp shade in place. Still going to contact Amazon to see what they can do about missing piece if anything. Just what I was looking for. I love the aesthetics. It’s an elegant piece and gives the light you need. My one mark off was for the silly on/off switch, which is located at the BOTTOM of the lamp, on a black (impossible to find) fob that you have to search for when you want to turn on and off the lamp. I don’t know about you, but this is for my bed and reading, and I have no desire to have to get out of bed to find the fob so I can STEP on it, to turn it off and then find my way back into bed in the now dark! It’s black and I can never find it. It’s too close to the lamp to mount for easy reach. Maybe it was well-intentioned, but it’s become a real pain to deal with. I encourage the company to replace this nifty ‘idea’ and just put a normal, reachable on/off switch on it! ... show more

For starters I thought the lamp shade was missing. Turns out it is rolled up and needs to be assembled. That was a first. The base poles screw into each other but it wasn't made right and was crooked so my husband had to take out a silver piece to make the base twist into the next piece. Only way to turn on and off is by the floor switch. Lastly I have shag carpet in the den so the base wobbles despite it being heavy enough. For the price I decided to keep and when lite it looks nice. It also came with a bulb which was unexpected since I do not read everything about the product before I click to buy. ... show more
