It went together, pretty easy, except for the shade. The shade is pretty substandard. You have to put it together, which is not easy and it’s kind of a cheap shade. I’m not sure how replacing it would be, or if you even could might be difficult.

It was easy to build, I am very happy with the amount of light if puts out (which is not huge, but would be great for a bedroom, a den, or to help in a space that needed a modest amount of warm light). Remote is a nice touch, I don't have the best mobility so being able to adjust it without getting up if I am having a rough day physically is very nice. I like the lamp for the cost. The concern is that the cord portion at the top where the tubes screw together. On the top straight piece the cord is too long to fit into the 2nd straight tube with out twisting the electrical cord and forcing it into the tube.
