Overall, I'm very happy with this, with a few small disclaimers. The daybed is very nice quality and sturdy. The design makes it fit well in a living room for dual use as both a sofa and bed. The design is classic and neutral, working well for a variety of spaces. There are two drawbacks on the design, though. First, the back is unfinished. This will be fine for most people as most likely you would have this placed against a wall, but if you're planning to use this with a sofa table along the back instead of against a wall, it won't work well. This is the only reason I'm giving this four stars instead of five. Second, there is about a 10-inch gap of open space between the back side rail and the top back panel. So if you use a mattress any thinner than that, you will have a gap. Assembly was much easier than expected. I put this together by myself in just over two hours. If you have strength/physical restrictions, you may need a second person to help but I didn't have any issues flying solo. The parts, including hardware were well organized, directions were clear, and everything line up easily as it should. ... show more

Though,,, I was sorely disappointed that I could only put this up against a wall. If you don't do this, the top mattress shows in the back as the back of the "couch" is only so wide. I am not sure why they manufactured it this way. I suppose, that it was just not thinking outside the box for everyone's needs. You can put a nice deep mattress on top, we have a 12", which lowers the back of the couch look, but that is the size we already own. The lower level only allows about a 9-inch mattress which we need to purchase. The sides of the daybed bow outwards, which is better when sitting versus straight up and down. The tufting looks to be quality. I love tufting. The material is light in color, so we put a quick coat of waterproof spray on it to ensure no stains would stay if they occurred. Instructions are pretty straightforward. I needed help with this one, due to the weight of some of the pieces. Daybeds look okay, but better for lounging on, not in. The fact that this daybed has a trundle, though, makes it so useful. It can be put away till needed- so helpful in a small room. Just don't think of this as a couch, like I did. It is just as described, a day bed doubled but a useful day bed! I see that the manufacturers also produce chairs that look like they would match perfectly with this bed. I am going to look more at them, as the quality of this daybed impresses me, except for the lack of backing. Recommended, if you can put this up against a wall, which most people will be doing. One thing to think about- this item comes in two boxes- which is good if you want to carry it upstairs. You can unload the boxes and carry the pieces up. The boxes in themselves are very heavy- 60-70 # each. I just look at it as the more weight, the more quality. I will post a picture, as soon as we have the 2nd mattress installed, so you can see what I mean about the back side. If you are looking for a daybed or two beds in one- this one is quality and should merit your attention. I am seconding thinking this, maybe, the opening in the back makes it easier to get sheets on the bed and tucked in? ... show more

This is perfect! Truly. We use this in our guest room/play room. It's wonderful that my kid and her friends have somewhere to sit and play with the toys and if they want to spend the night, they each have a bed. No one has to sleep on the floor. Assembly was fairly easy. Definitely want 2 people to do it. Steps were simple, instructions were clear and the company's customer service is top notch.
