    • Slats are a surprise
This went together fairly well, and I had all the pieces & hardware. The only hiccup was in the slats, and it was fairly minor. Some of the slats were slightly bigger than the bed frame (very slight) and had to be tapped/hammered/maneuvered into place. The slats were also rough and could have used another sanding. Additionally, you'll need a Phillips screwdriver (not included) to attach the slats with wood screws. The instructions also recommend a drill (also not included), which I fortunately had, to actually make the holes for attaching the wood screws into the slats for both the daybed and the trundle bed. You'll also need the drill to make the holes for attaching the casters (wheels) to the trundle. I suppose you could get by with just a Phillips screwdriver, but it will take you a LONG time. However, the instructions were clear, had good illustrations, and I had no major issues in building both pieces. It looks great when completed; just be aware that you'll need an extra tool and some extra time to build it. ... show more

Love this trundle took a while to put together but if you follow the directions you shouldn’t have a problem love the functionality of a couch/ sofa and a bed in one

I love that the bottom bed doesn't use a rail, so we can pull it out away from the bed completely if we wanted to. The only thing is I wish there was like a pull tab to help slide it out but overall it's sturdy and was easy to assemble with just 2 people

Pain in the butt to put together if you're alone, the back of it is very flimsy if you don't have it up against a wall you're going to need to reinforce it with wood. If you lean back on it without it being against a wall it gives quite a bit. Relatively simple design I like that the bottom part is not connected to the actual sofa bed at all but it seems pretty pricey for how simple the design is and the fact that it comes in a million pieces with very confusing instructions. ... show more

Bought this for my daughters college apartment. Having limited space in her room was quite a challenge but this day bed is the perfect solution! Extra space available when not needed and a second bed for company, perfect for people with limited space and consistent company!
