  • Great product
Great product. Dries clear and was very tacky

  • Easy to spread and adheres well so far!
We bought the building our clinic is in and decided to replace the bathroom flooring. We went with bright pink VCT tile which we overlaid directly over top the old stained VCT because it was ugly but very well adhered and flat. I ended up using about 1/3 of this pail of adhesive. I used the permanent method since this is a commercial space. Troweled a few square feet at a time and laid the tile directly. It is easy to spread, looks a lot like butterscotch pudding and is about the same consistency. There is an odor but since it is zero VOC, it didn’t give me a headache. Still, I opened the window and wore a mask since I’m sensitive and the bathroom is only 50 sq ft. I wore nitrile gloves because it’s adhesive and I can’t imagine it would be good for my skin, but I had no issues with cleanup on a couple surfaces I didn’t mean to get it on before it dried, especially where I troweled too thickly to start and I had some squirt up from between the tiles. I adjusted my technique and had no further problems. I used soapy water to get it off the tiles. So far, the floor is beautiful, but time will tell on how durable it is and the hold it provides. Currently, it looks like everything stuck very well and we love our new floor. I can recommend this adhesive. ... show more

  • A Great Adhesive for Flooring Projects
I recently had the chance to work with the ROMAN PRO-690 Pressure Sensitive Flooring Adhesive, and I have to say, it made my flooring project a lot smoother. This adhesive is designed for LVT, LVP, and VCT, which covers a lot of common flooring types, and it's really versatile. You can choose to install it permanently, or if you think you might need to reposition or remove the flooring later, you can do a releasable install. That's a huge plus for me, as it gives you options. What really stands out about this adhesive is its zero VOC formula. It's low-odor, which is fantastic for working indoors, and it meets CDPH v1.2 standards, so you know it's safe for living spaces. I didn't notice any strong chemical smells while I was using it, which is always a relief. The 1-gallon container is a good size, and I found it offered good coverage. I was able to get my flooring down efficiently, and the fast return to service means you're not waiting around forever to walk on your new floors. It just felt like a reliable and user-friendly product for a DIYer like me. ... show more

  • good
As other reviewers have mentioned, this spreads easily and has good tack over a subfloor that already has a later of very dried carpet adhesive, although I think my coverage was closer to that 120 sq foot lower estimate. That's to the expected from most adhesives, though, and there was enough to do the job. I was a little nervous trying a water-based adhesive, but after cutting, it seems really solid. Too early to make a determination of long-term durability, but I don't have any reason to think there will be a problem, it seems in line with similar products I've used in the past. Wet cleanup with water went fine, I don't love that dried cleanup calls for mineral spirits, which can be rough on some flooring. Best, I suspect, to work one section at a time and clean up as you go. ... show more

  • Great easy to use product as long as you follow directions on the side of the tub. Adheres great!
This pressure senstive flooring adhesive was wonderful. It has a very great adhesion & love you can make it releasbale or permanent. It dries fairly quickly and is easy to use; just follow the clear directions on the side of the tub. This adhesive has great consistency; not too thick that it's hard to work with or roll, but not too thin where it runs all over the place as you try to use it. It functions exactly as it should adhering to the flooring well & making it so that it doesn't come back up after curing. This was exactly what I needed. This product has been amazing and well worth the value of the money. Using a variety of various adhesives in the past- this one has to be one of the top 3 best ones I have ever used over the years. Very impressed with it. 5/5 ... show more

  • Professional-Grade Flooring Adhesive with Flexible Install Options
I haven’t used this adhesive yet, but after researching and preparing for a new house flooring project, this is the product I chose and I’m impressed so far. ROMAN PRO-690 is clearly designed with installers in mind and supports both permanent and pressure-sensitive (releasable) installation, which adds a lot of flexibility depending on the flooring and situation. The zero-VOC, low-odor formula was a major selling point, especially for indoor residential use in an occupied space. I also like that it’s compatible with LVT, LVP, and VCT, making it versatile for future projects. The application options with either a trowel or roller and the strong initial tack sound ideal for a smooth install. Everything about this product suggests professional quality, from the specs to the brand reputation. Assuming it performs as expected during installation, it looks like an excellent choice for vinyl flooring projects. Confident 5 stars based on design, features, and intended use. ... show more

  • Pressure Sensitive Flooring Adhesive
Great stuff! It sticks tile to the floor. I like the option of either using it "wet" or "tacky" for tile adhesion. I really do prefer the "tacky" method though, as it makes for easier lift to replace or repair a tile. By no means is it weak, and does not allow for slippage, but is a bit less permanent, and much easier to install your tiles by just laying them into place once the surface is rubberized. The only way I would use this in "wet" form would be on solid sheet vinyl, as there would be no chance for seepage through the tile joints. Good product and decent price. Easy to use and functions as it should. ... show more

  • Low VC but still has strong odor
I chose this for the low or no VC. And that's it's water based. It was easy to use and smooth out over my plywood floor so I could install some of that cheap vinyl flooring that comes in 12" squares. I had planned to install in a more releaseable manner but the odor changed my mind. I was forced to install wet for a permanent job due to the odor. It triggered my daughter's asthma so we had to remove her and do a quick job. Cleanup is easy if the product is still wet. ... show more
