Rolex Deepsea watch, polished round stainless steel case (44mm diameter, 15mm thickness) with shoulders to protect the screw-down Triplock winding crown, specially designed helium escape valve and new Ringlock system, lightweight titanium case back, special time-lapse rotatable bezel with scratch-proof Cerachrom insert, stainless steel Oyster bracelet with Glidelock clasp (able to wear over a dive/wetsuit 7mm thick), black dial with luminous hour markers, date calendar at 3 o'clock, 31 jewel caliber 3135 self-winding chronometer movement, slightly domed synthetic sapphire crystal that is thicker than the sapphire crystals of other Oyster models, pressure-proof to 3900 meters (12,800 feet). The Rolex Deepsea is equipped with a Ringlock System, a new case architecture patented by Rolex, which allows the watch to withstand a colossal 2.98 metric tonnes of water pressure. During deep dives lasting several days, the helium molecules spread throughout all the matter and penetrate the watch in sufficient quantity to push out the sapphire crystal at atmospheric pressure levels. The helium escape valve of the Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea prevents this from happening. The valve is used by divers to release helium from their watch while they rise up to the water's surface.

Bought this by accident when I hit the one-click buy button but oh well live and learn. I’m not too disappointed because this is a beauty. Some say buy all black version and that is more elegant but boring is more like it. The all black version looks like its cheaper sibling, the Submariner or regular Sea Dweller. Nothing wrong with those watches and very nice as well but everyone own those watches. You buy a watch like this to show off whether you would like to admit it or not. Firstly, a Timex tells better time or an Apple Watch. And Rolex is nice but is it better than Patek Philippe? I don’t think so. Not even better than a Grand Seiko, IMO. I wear and own this to show off. My own enjoyment of showing off as well. If a tree falls and no one is there it doesn’t fall according to marketing and society in general. So given this, does it even make sense to buy a watch that a waiter owns or looks like one that he owns? That’s right, I’ve seen a waiter with a Submariner. The blue color is distinct and no other Rolex looks like it. The thickness is enormous here but it is deepsea so there you go. ... show more

If you think the all black face is better than the blue you obviously haven't seen this beauty in person or just plain crazy. This is probably one of the best Rolex's I have seen in person. I used to wear mine every day but due to its size kept banging it on things. So now I wear it on the weekends. The pictures don't due it justice. ... show more

i love this watch "the james cameron " he went into the deepest part of the ocean wear this watch I've had the sea dweller ,loved it and ibhave the newer version of the submariner i wear this watch almost every day and i have about 6 nice watches go with this watch it vis rare and will increase in value over time i bought mine at 12,600. it already retailing at 14/14500 no one year later always make sure your watch is real a lot of really good fakes out there take to authorized rolex dealer in your city and have them look at steven troyer ... show more
