Please pull the burner outward after the burner installed to the furnace, keep the burner head buried in the insulation, which could protect the burner heads and ensure the crucible can be placed in the furnace properly. Please check: burner head buried.jpg 2. Please make sure all the assembly are installed tightly, and keep there is no gas leak before melting. Liquid soap could test the gas leak. 3. Please use protective equipment, such as goggles or gloves, before casting. 4. Preheat the empty crucible and ingot mold at around 500℉ for 5 mins, making sure them absolutely dry before 1st use. 5. Prepare a high pressure Propane tank (like 20LB,30LB or 50LB ). 1. The metal furnace only suitable for high-pressure gas tanks, it is not suitable for natural gas. 2. If you use the full propane tank, adjust gas tank, regulator, and burner pressure from LOW pressure first. Adjust them slowly to find a best pressure setting. 3. Remember that set the regulator from 0psi to 3psi and to 5psi. Do not release too fast. Pressurize slowly. 4. The valve on your bottle may freeze if gas flow too fast. You should stop fire and reset again. 5. The small hole on the gas tip shouldn't be blocked, if blocked, it will cause uneven flames. Please check the image: small hole of gas tip.jpg 6. If the flame large and fast first and then get slow, it might be the regulator turn on the protection mode because of excessive airflow or air leak. Please use a wire to push the hole on the regulator end that connect with gas tank again. Please check the image: regulator.jpg 7. If it sounds like sputtering, and there is enough propane, your mixture is out of balance. You could adjust the air choke to adjust the amount of air and propane. Because the burner is auto air choke, you could use a tinfoil to adjust the air. Please check the picture: flashback arrestor.jpg 8. The Most Important: Stoping melting every 25 mins, which could reduce freezing and it could protect casting accessories to some extent.
