I use it for spraying texture. I have an 8 gallon air compressor which runs out of air on large texture patches, causing me to wait 10 seconds or so to re-fill with air. With the air keg, the air does not run out when I’m doing patches! The texture is looking even better with the added 10 gallons of air. I now have 18 gallons of air. It came with 4 couplings with thread tape already wrapped around all 4 of them! There is no pressure adjustment valve. Whatever pressure you have on your compressor, will be the pressure on the air keg. My compressors max psi is 150. It’s definitely lighter than a pancake compressor. ... show more

I ordered this to add extra capacity to my air storage and the ability to have a mobile air source. The item was packaged well and my initial impression was great. This is a heavy duty tank and with the multiple ports gives the end user the ability to customize for their application. I Knocked off a star cause the pressure gauge was not operational and topped out at 50psi. This was factory damage not shipping because the box was unscathed. I had a gauge laying around so i just swapped them out. I didnt contact manufacturer cause I didnt want yo go through the hassle and the damage should have been caught by QC hence the deduction of a star. I purchased the Niko 3/8 npt hex countersunk plugs and installed with teflon tape to cap off unused ports. Unit is air tight no leaks. I almost purchased a 11 gallon HF tank with plans to modify but so glad i didnt. This is a much better and safer set up. Get it youll be pleased. Pros: Heavy duty 4 stable legs keeps it upright Check valve pre-installed Multiple ports to customize 1/4 turn tank drain Ability to take it mobile High pressure capacity. Nice carry handle Cons: Broken pressure gauge upon arrival. ( No physical damage to gauge but was not operational.) Maybe a bit heavy for some people to maneuver. If you are thinking about adding a tank to your compressor system or having a small air tank for mobile jobs like brad nailing, look no further. Especially if you can score one on amazon for 120 bucks shipped. It’s sturdy and well built (hence the 225psi), love the Rolair green. Shipped and packaged well. I would recommend buying 3/8 Npt plugs, at least 3. The tool-out plug that comes included is 1/4 NPT. I changed that to the female quick coupler with male 1/4 NPT thread, since you want the air to be kept in if you were to remove the tank from your compressor for mobile applications. You won’t find this tank cheaper than 170 on other sites and it’s much better quality than the big store cheap 125psi tanks. ... show more

This tank comes with four 3/8" NPT outlets with plastic plugs. Three on one end and one on the other. I ordered some 3/8" NPT brass plugs and 3/8" male to 1/4" female NPT fittings. Then installed two air chucks. This comes with a ball type drain valve, pressure relief valve, air pressure gauge and a check valve elbow with a 1/4" male air hose adapter. I used this with a 5 gallon compressor which gave me longer use of the impact wrench without draining the compressor tank so fast. ... show more

Overall quality tank. Not lightweight because it's rated for 225psi. 4 stars because the 3 ports on the end of the tank had extremely coarse threading that shredded teflon thread sealing tape. Ridges of threads were actually jagged and serrated. It leaked slowly at all 3 ports with teflon tape. Trip to hardware store, had to use liquid thread sealant on those 3 ports. ... show more
