So far this has been a good tv. Good picture and sound. I was not happy with the roku auto picture as it was too dark. I went into picture settings and was able to adjust it to suit me. At first, the antenna channels kept dropping from the live tv guide but I was able to use voice remote to bring up the local channel I wanted and it came up no problem. Now, the local channels have remained in the guide... don't know what changed except that the home screen changed at same time so maybe an update corrected the problem. I don't care for the new homescreen but I am adjusting to it. I already had a Roku account so set up was not too difficult. Good thing too because instructions are absent. I am not very technically bright so making needed adjustments was challenging for me. I got good info about specific details by doing google searches on my phone. It would be nice if Roku gave us important information like the proper way to exit an app etc. I was doing the back button repeatedly until the exit app spot came up so I could exit. According to google search, Roku recommends we simply hit the home button to exit any app. Also, it is important to always go to home before turning tv off. Failing to do this could cause an app to continue steaming in the back ground. No instructions with this tv provided this info. I believe all tv sets should come with instruction manuals but sadly most tv sets and even other electronics no longer come with manuals. Maybe that's ok for the newer generations but it's annoying for us seniors. ... show more

The TV arrived and honestly the hardest part of setting it up was getting it out of the shipping box. The installation was easy and I was able to set it up by myself in about 5 minutes. I have both cable and streaming channels. The remote is easy to use and you can install an app on your phone, and it can also function as a remote. The picture is clear and bright. Setup was a breeze, we turned it on and it found our internet connection, we put in the password and there was a picture immediately.     • Think it is OK but very 'entry-level' tv.

Our fingers are crossed for this new Roku tv, considering the publicity about class action lawsuits re: Roku updates 'bricking' tv's. So far, a bit sub-par when compared to the Roku tv it replaces, but easily set up. If you've set up one Roku, you know it is very simple. Just have your phone and passwords available. But if you expect to find the plethora of audio settings, 'leveling, night, speech, music' , they are not there. You basically have volume. 'Sleep' must be set independently per app. And I will note that the 'Recommended' row above your Home Screen apps is there to stay. The only choice you get is one of privacy, ie 'Don't share my information. I have seen reviews about the sound. It seems sufficient, but does sometimes seem louder or softer than set. No big deal as the remote works well. I prefer to use the remote simply as a remote, no voice control, no linking to Alexa. Privacy matters these days. The picture is fine on Normal. My first move was to remove it from the Vivid or Brightest (showroom setting). If all goes well, this is an adequate tv. It deserves 4 *, no more. The updates are automatic, cannot be paused as I saw suggested on a tech site. We hope for the best but actually hung onto our previous 5 yr old, sometimes glitch- prone tv that we replaced. Our Family room Roku TV is still fairly new and has been trouble-free. This does receive local tv channels with the use of an antenna. Live Pause may/may not hold. Of course you need a USB stick for Live Pause. (90 minutes pause of Antenna tv) It was on sale for a decent price, hoping it proves to be a good value. Twice, we have had to unplug it for a few minutes to clear the cache. ... show more

Great Smart TV. I've had Smart TVs in the past. Didn't like them, but it's impossible to find a TV 40" or smaller that is NOT a Smart TV. You can find non smart TVs in the larger sizes, but I don't need or want a 55 or 70 inch TV. So, I had no choice but to get another Smart TV. I do have to say this Roku Smart TV has been great so far. My friend recommended it since she loves hers. Easy to set up, perfect number of HDMI ports. Picture is great; sound is great and 40" size is perfect. It was easy to attach the type of stand I prefer. I don't like the standard feet that come with most TVs. It was light weight, so no issue for me setting this up on my own. I hope it lasts me for years! ... show more

This ALL IN ONE television is an incredible value. Difficult to comprehend a simpler or better value product in the market. Yes it has ROKU. Yes you can add all apps. Yes The picture is great. Yes the remote is simple but powerful! The 40” TV is so light my wife carries it from room to room and out on the deck. Since it’s all WIFI the only wire you need is the AC plug. If you want to watch ATSC HD broadcast TV a simple ChannelMaster flat antenna. You can put in a cheap thumb drive in the back to pause live TV when you need to step away. I suggest you buy a 4 tuner TABLO with your antenna and put both in the attic or garage to have a $150 WiFi of all broadcast and a DVR that stores 1000’s of hours of your favorite. TABLO has no subscription. All free after one purchase. The TABLO app on ROKU lets you control everything with one remote. This product is a solution to a great home AV environment. ... show more
