  • I Would Highly Suggest This Item...PERFECT!
Color: Black Style: PSA1+
The RØDE PSA1+ Professional Studio Arm has been an outstanding addition to my daily broadcast and voice-over workflow for weather forecasting and studio production. As someone who records voice tracks and delivers forecasts regularly, having stable, quiet, and highly adjustable microphone positioning is extremely important — and this studio arm performs exceptionally well in every category. The build quality is excellent and immediately feels professional-grade. The arm is incredibly stable, moves smoothly, and holds microphone positioning precisely without drifting or sagging over time. The spring damping system works beautifully and provides nearly silent operation during adjustments, which is critical in voice-over and recording environments where unwanted mechanical noise can easily be picked up by sensitive microphones. One of the strongest features is the cable management system. It keeps the setup clean, organized, and professional-looking while reducing cable interference during recording sessions. In a busy studio or weather production environment, maintaining a clutter-free workspace is a major advantage. The arm’s range of motion and adjustability are also excellent. It allows quick positioning changes for live broadcasts, voice-over recording, weather updates, and long studio sessions while maintaining very smooth movement and strong support for professional microphones. Another major advantage is the reduction in desk vibration and handling noise. The PSA1+ does an excellent job isolating the microphone and helping maintain clean, broadcast-quality audio during recording. This has made a noticeable difference in overall production quality for weather narration and studio reporting work. The overall design is sleek, durable, and clearly built for long-term professional use. Even with daily operation, the arm continues to perform flawlessly and feels engineered specifically for serious studio environments. Highly recommend the RØDE PSA1+ to broadcasters, meteorologists, podcasters, voice-over professionals, streamers, and studio production teams looking for professional microphone support with outstanding stability, quiet operation, and premium build quality. Exceptional performance and absolutely worth the investment for professional audio production. ... show more

  • Stunning, Perfect for Gaming
Color: Black Style: PSA1+
This microphone arm is absolutely stunning. It has a very sleek, professional look and immediately made my setup feel cleaner and more polished. The build quality is excellent too. It has a good amount of weight to it, everything feels solid, and nothing about it feels cheap or flimsy. Adjusting the arm is smooth, and once I put it where I want it, it stays in place without slowly moving or sagging. I also really like the built-in cable management. The clips keep my XLR cable neatly secured along the arm instead of having a cord hanging everywhere, which makes a huge difference in keeping my desk looking organized. The desk clamp feels sturdy and works exactly as intended as well. It's definitely more expensive than some of the basic microphone arms out there, but after seeing and feeling the quality in person, I understand why. I'm extremely happy with this purchase and would absolutely recommend it for a clean streaming, gaming, or recording setup. ... show more

  • Expensive, but absolutely worth it
Color: Black Style: PSA1+
I love this boom arm. It is extremely adjustable and versatile, pretty compact for what it does, moves smoothly, and stays exactly where I position it. The threading works in such a way that you can add tension where it is needed. The spring damping works well, so it does not make loud noises or fight against me every time I move the microphone. The built-in cable management also keeps the desk setup looking clean. I tried cheaper microphone arms first, but they felt flimsy, were harder to adjust, and would slowly sag out of position. Eventually, I decided to spend more on the RØDE PSA1+, and the difference in quality was immediately noticeable. It is definitely expensive for a microphone arm, but a quality item is a quality item. It feels solid, works perfectly with my setup, and I would rather buy this once than keep replacing cheaper alternatives. ... show more

  • Surprise!
Color: Black Style: PSA1+
If you told me that I could or should get excited about a friggin microphone arm, you would be crazy! I will caveat this, as this is my first of 1. I have a couple of cheap arms for other things, just not microphones. I DO, however, know quality when I see it. So, I bought the Rode XDM 100 microphone because I plan to start a podcast at some point. I reviewed reviews on about 40+ swing arms and kept arriving at this one, the Rode PSA1+. Let's get this out of the way first. It's one of the more expensive arms, but for the cost difference, the small amount to pay for the upgrade is worth it. The construction is made of high-quality materials. I like that the arm does NOT have a spring on it. Springs tend to make noise when you move them. Rode claims that it is "smooth and silent." I am here to tell you that it is. In addition to the above, I find the following important too: * I have to say that I love the way I can tighten the microphone in place with two opposing and easy-to-use nuts that are formed for your fingers to turn. The XDM 100 is a horse, so it's good to know that once I lock it into place, it will stay put. You don't have to be a powerlifter to crank it down. This brings up another point. * The microphone I have is pretty heavy. I am not sure of the weight. It is slightly lighter than the Rode NT1 5th gen I tried. The arm moved around in all directions, and held it up without fail. I believe it can handle more weight with no problem. * For cable management, four integrated snap-in clamps hold your USB or XLR cable in place, keeping them discrete. The rest is up to you. * The neoprene cover is nice because it dresses up the arm, which is built like any other. There are four bars connected to a pivot point. Two on top. Two on the bottom. It's kind of like a human arm in a sense because of the two bars on the top. Sure, it's a novelty to have the Røde logo on it, but honestly, it looks much nicer than the PSA1, which is basically the same thing without the cover. Okay, $30 for a stupid cover? A little pricey if you ask me, but I am glad I spent the extra $ for it. Shame on you, Røde! * The hardest part about installation was figuring out exactly where to place the base. After that, it only took as long as I needed to twist the screw-on clamp onto my desk and then put the post (at the bottom of the arm) into the hole. DONE. There is no need for instruction because it's just simple to figure out. I don't get super excited over much, but I am more than satisfied with the Røde PS1+. Maybe that's why it has a 4.8 rating over 1,169 customers as of today (6/11/2024) ... show more

  • One of the most utilized products you’ll buy! Buy Quality!
Color: Black Style: PSA1+
The build quality, form and function of this boom arm is unmatched, I have now used it with multiple weighted mics on my live XSchmootsX streams on Youtube, TikTok, Twitch and KICK. For the Money you could buy two of the cheaper boom arms, but you’ll get just that, half the product. This arm has a fluid movement, silent, and build quality of a $200 boom arm. ... show more

  • RODE quality is worth the extra cost.
Color: Black Style: PSA1+
First bought the popular (and much cheaper) Chinese arm available on Amazon. That one was hard to adjust, hard to move out of the way (both to retract the arm and to swivel), and the microphone would not stay "tight". The RODE arm is SO MUCH BETTER. The RODE desk mount is sturdier and allows the arm to swivel easily without feeling "loose" and wobbly. The arm is very well balanced, so it extends and retracts with very little effort. The microphone locking system is perfect; easy to connect securely, but easy to remove if needed. Finally, the cable-management clips make it easy to keep the setup looking clean. Bonus, the RODE also comes with a bolt-thru desk mount if you do not like the clamp style. TLDR: Pay the extra money if you can afford it, you will be much happier with this product over cheaper options. ... show more

  • A great mic studio arm but if you own a pop filter with a round mic stand clamp... READ THIS.
Color: Red Style: PSA1+
This will work well with any type of mic/mount. I personally ran into a small problem concerning my existing equipment. I use a Stedman pop filter with a Neumann U87 mic with a shock mount. My pop filter attaches with a clamp made specifically for round tubular mic stands while this studio arm has square arms. With the fabric that covers the arms and springs, there is not a good place to securely mount this pop filter. I made it work but when I try to reposition the guard in front of the mic, I have to hold on to the clamp as it will slip off the square shaped support arms rather easily. Also if I really tighten the clamp by turning the screw, the mount then slips off the square support. I am also concerned that if I clamp it down too tightly, that I will crush the square support. Individuals with experience on all mic stands may dodge this problem but it would be nice if Rode mentioned that clamp on pop filters need to be designed for square shaped arms instead of round. I will now need to order a square boom arm clamp adapter with a round mount for my pop filter which costs $19 for my $60 pop filter. So keep this in mind if you already own a clamp on pop filter. Otherwise just make sure you order a pop filter specifically designed for square shaped boom arms. ... show more

  • The best there is
Color: Black Style: PSA1+
I don't think there is a single thing I dint like about this boom arm. Maybe you could argue, the Rode Logo on the sleeve is a bit much but I honestly don't care at all. I am probably going to remove the sleeves however as they slide when you adjust the arm itself and so you can put pressure on your cable while adjusting it. They are not removable without disassembling the unit without cutting them. So if you want to remove them but may want to put them back on later, don't remove them. I wouldn't suggest disassembling the unit to remove them as the springs inside the arms are likely under some crazy weird tensions to make this an so dang stable. The function of the arm however is fantastic. I am using the clamp mount currently but am about to swap to a wooden desk and will use the permanent style mount that is also included in the box. It's meant to go into the factory desk holes that have the plastic sleeve for cables that you see in offices and such. I'm going to modify my new desktop with a hole to use it that way. I am using a Hyper X Duocast microphone currently with my arm and it has no problem with the mic staying wherever I want it. Overall I definitely recommend the arm. When you pull it out of the box the unstick tell you to grab both ends and pull to rip the paper that holds it closed. When you do that it will appear that the post at the base of the stand that inserts in to the mount is backwards or installed wrong, it looks like it's pointing away from the direction it should. Don't worry it isn't. Once you have it in the mount it is perfect. And adjusts fine with no issues. This thing makes absolutely no noise at all when you adjust it's position. I tend to keep it above my head with the mic at an angle down towards my face, I use the setup for discord with friends gaming so I have it up high so it's not at all in my field if view and it's great. I'm gonna buy an extension though because I would like to mount it behind my monitor but I am using an Asus 42" monitor that I have in a 6 inch rise stand so the arm can't reach far enough over it but that's not the arms fault. I got mine for 99 dollars here on Amazon but would definitely pay the 120 price it usually seems to be. I don't think there is a better option on Amazon. ... show more
