So, the movement on this arm is ridiculously smooth. It's got this setup that lets you move the mic exactly where you need it, without any of that annoying drooping or drifting I've dealt with before. Moving it around doesn't make any noise at all, thanks to some super clever design with damped springs and a cover that keeps everything quiet. When it comes to staying put, this arm is a rock. It doesn't matter how I position my SM7B it just doesn't move. That stability is something I've been looking for in a studio arm, and the PSA1+ delivers. It feels super secure, which is awesome because I don't have to worry about my mic taking a dive in the middle of a meeting. So yeah, the RØDE PSA1+ is excellent. This looks and feels professional. The cover/sleave around the arms prevent you from pinching your fingers and this arm allows heavy and light mics without any recoil. This is the best arm I have ever used

Will owning this product turn you into Joe Rogan? No. Will it help to exponentially increase your number of loyal and adoring listeners? Also no. Will it turn you into Joe Rogan's number one competitor? Absolutely not. Don't be ridiculous. What it does do, though, is exactly what Rode says it will do. It comes with two options for mounting. A screw clamp for attaching to the edge of a desk or tabletop without damaging your furniture. Or an insert that requires a little bit of making a hole but allows it to be mounted cleanly. Either way holds it securely. Once secured, the boom arm proves itself to be quite strong. Even with a relatively heavy mic attached (SM7B specifically) there is no noticeable downward drift. Even when extended to its maximum reach and in a horizontal position. Furthermore, articulating the arm is easy, smooth and silent. There are no knobs or screws that need loosened or tightened to change position. No feel or sound of grittiness in the swivel and no sound of springs stretching or creaking. If you are a fidgety, position changing podcaster like me, you'll love that feature. ... show more

It's a great mic arm, the option to integrate it into the desk is a nice option because I ran out of grip space from my monitors. Much appreciated. Also it is nice and quiet when moving.

I have a PSA1 and needed a second arm, and got a PSA1+. This arm eliminates almost everything annoying about the original. The PSA1 was already probably the best arm available, as long as you could get over the aesthetics. vs. the PSA1, the PSA1+: 1. has a better desk mount. The PSA1 has a metal ring that when tightened may leave a mark/indentation on the desk. Both the top and bottom of the clamp are now coated in rubber, which not only is kinder to your desk, it helps a little with noise dampening from the desk. 2. The arm is covered in a neoprene sleeve. This prevents accidentally pinching your fingers in the scissor mechanism, which really hurts. 3. has cable management clips built in, vs. the cheesy velcro ties on the PSA1. 4. The mic mount area has WAY better knobs and more clearance for the mic. They both were sturdy, could hold heavy mics, etc. The branding is in-your-face and polarizing, I'm just judging the arm itself. If it bothers you, its easy to cover with gaffer tape. I must prefer the new version to the old. Some people have said it's not worth an upgrade, but if you can sell your old one without taking a heavy loss, I highly recommend it. ... show more

This unit is perfect and of high quality. The only drawback goes to the logistics as Fedex took 4 additional days compared to DHL (various items bought at the same time on Amazon) without any reason. Plus, Fedex service has degraded badly and the home delivery was announced for a specific day, but this was not respected. ... show more
