Description

Rockville SPG88 passive DJ PA speakers deliver big, reliable sound in a compact cabinet that is easy to transport and set up. Sold here as a pair totaling 800 Watts peak power, they are a smart choice for mobile DJs, small bands, schools, churches, fitness studios, and anyone needing clear, punchy sound without the bulk of larger boxes. Each Rockville SPG88 features a high- power long-throw 8" woofer with a 2" aluminum voice coil teamed with a 1.35" pure titanium compression driver for smooth, detailed highs. With 100-Watts RMS, 200-Watts program, and 400-Watts peak per speaker plus a 50Hz-20kHz frequency response and up to 119dB peak SPL, this compact two-way design delivers tight bass, articulate mids, and crisp top end at live levels. The injection-molded ABS cabinet is engineered to resist impact and reduce unwanted resonance, helping your mix stay clean and controlled. An asymmetrical trapezoidal shape allows the SPG88 to work as either a main PA speaker or a low-profile floor monitor, and the built-in 35-mm pole socket makes stand mounting quick for events, rehearsals, and portable rigs. Connection is simple with twist-lock Speakon input and output jacks for secure wiring and easy daisy-chaining to additional cabinets or subwoofers. The precision crossover and constant-impedance circuit are tuned to match the drivers and enclosure, helping maintain consistent tone from low to high volume so your system sounds balanced across a wide range of applications.

Really good for the money.
Affordable good sound. Paired with the 350 watt powered mixer, it makes an easy setup for small venues. I really like it for the price.

Rockville 8 inch SPG88 8 ohm passive speakers pair
The little 8 inch Rockville passive speakers are great! I love the fact that they have a compression horn in them, Instead of a piezo tweeter. The Piezo tweeter, sounds so shrill and not clear! In addition, they sound great for their size too. The 8 inch woofer has a decent amount of bass and they make an excellent addition to a sub. They are awesome that way, for karaoke, an outdoor party, a small DJ setup, or for a solo or duo group. The price of $125 for the pair, is a no Brainer. If you need something a little larger, try the ten inch pair for a little more oomph, you won't be sorry. Remember, these speakers are 100 watts RMS and 200 watts program (continuous), 400 watts peak power each, so you can put 400 watts into the 2 speakers combined comfortably. So be careful with your power amp or powered mixer and enjoy them ... show more

I am creating an arcade and a weight room in my garage. I have been in the audio industry for over 40 years. A big secret is to skip home audio and always go to Pro PA gear. These speakers are made to be used in a park setting or a large venue. So when you use them like I am...they are so incredible, you will be blown away. That is why I just went with the 8". I am using a Sony receiver for these. These speakers are so loud and clear...I am blown away. NEVER use home speakers. Always go pro audio...DJ...PA gear if you want loud and clear. I am so happy. I can point these outside my garage and wake up the entire neighborhood if needed. LOL. You will have to order "SPEAKON" connectors. And you will have to make the cables...super easy if you are hooking this tto a receiver like I did. Hope this helps somebody. ... show more

I like the quality of these speakers.

Almost perfect but I have a real problem with them.
These are a great deal, they sound great, light weight, look good, functional BUT they have speak on connectors. I HATE SPEAKON CONNECTORS!!! I’ll give them 5 stars when they put 1/4 inch connectors on them.

Speaker stand hole on bottom not to spec ...
Performs well, but, standard speaker stand hole on the bottom WAS NOT to standard size. I had to bore out both speakers and enlarge to fit.

These are a “Good Stewardship” purchase for a church!
I’ve been in church my entire life (50yrs), all the churches I’ve been to have had ok sound with their equipment and put out the cash to do it. I purchased these solely because I thought if they didn’t do a good job there is a return policy or I could put them in my living room or in the shed. Let me say, I have now purchased three (3) sets of these speakers, one for our fellowship hall, one for our sanctuary and another set for another church in our state. It is crazy how good the sound is, how in expensive the speakers are and the ability to handle the power we put through them. (We are a Pentecostal church, which means, we do not worship like rocks) I am about to purchase two more sets to give to miniatures as they come along needing them. Also, they have standard size mounting holes built in. Obviously I believe in them... ... show more
