Description

The Rockville RSG8 8" 2-Way Passive DJ/Pro PA Speaker delivers reliable, balanced sound for DJs, live performers, and event organizers. Featuring a single 8" pro audio woofer, two 3" piezo bullet tweeters, and a 1.5" high- temperature aluminum voice coil, this speaker produces crisp highs and a tight low-end. Was initially bitterly disappointed in these as I hooked them up to my amp and they sounded awful. Had a very 'mid-range' frequency sound and very little low end to them. In an effort to get them to be usable, I was boosting the low end significantly and cutting as much as the mixer would let me from about 1Khz on up. After about an hour of running, they started to gradually sound better. I'm not sure if it's because the speaker was cold or stiff from manufacturing or what exactly, but after probably 2 hours they sounded pretty solid. Much more clarity and frequency response, was then able to boost the bottom end and cut the mid range a touch to get a sound I was happy with. Ultimately, for the price, I'll take having to let them 'warm up' on their first run. I ran them for a 2 day event and only during the initial startup did they have poor audio quality. They're decently lightweight and easy to handle. Cages are a little 'weak' in my mind, very easy to dent/bend. ... show more

Can not say anything bad about these speakers or the skipping . The sound fills the room with nice acoustic setting. Good deal amazing sound. I rate 5 stars on time shipping and exactly what I ordered. Fast friendly would recommend this product to anyone looking for that type of sound.

I received the item earlier than anticipated but unfortunately it didn't work for my purposes (correcting it to an e-drum set). Before returning it I talked to a brand agent to try to resolve the compatibility issue but the solution would cost more (buying a separate amplifier). Please know that if you do return it, you will have to pay for a $22 UPS label πŸ˜‘. Definitely painful if you're used to free returns other than that, the speaker seems okay. ... show more
