I have only used my speakers a few times so far, but I am happy with the sound, and the construction. The only negative I have would be the mounting holes for the speaker stands could have been better. They do work, but I am having some difficulty getting them On and Off the post for the stand, unlike my previous speakers that these replaced. I have been using a Rockville brand amp, and so far they seem to take good power without any noticeable distortion. I hope they last a long time, and so far I have been satisfied with all the Rockville products I have purchased. UPDATE (2024) - After having these speakers for a few years, and using them on a semi-regular basis for gigs, the problem that started with the mounting inserts has become a total failure. The cheap plastic post mounts have both failed and will need to be replaced with actual metal inserts in order to keep using them. They have never been abused, and always covered when being transported, and one of the 2 speakers I purchased has lost the use of one of the 1/4" connectors on the back of the speaker. ... show more

I purchased a Rockville RSG12.4 passive speaker that arrived dead on arrival. After running full diagnostics with known-good gear and following all setup protocols, the unit produced no sound at all. Confirmed tests: Used working Pyle P3201ATU hybrid amp Verified banana-to-SpeakON cable is functional Tried both Speaker A and B channels Swapped polarity Verified signal using other working speakers Tried both SpeakON and ¼" inputs on the speaker Still no output. Speaker is clearly defective from the factory. I should not be responsible for paying to return a defective product. Please issue a prepaid return label or refund the full amount immediately. If unresolved, I will escalate through: BBB complaint Credit card chargeback for defective merchandise Amazon/eBay dispute Public product reviews with documentation Please resolve this without forcing me to eat return shipping on something you failed to quality-check. Works great now. Had problems with them in the beginning. They was scratchy sounding. Like the wires was scratching against the magnet. But that cleared up. They sound great now. I've had them a year are so now.

Love the speakers!!! I bought a pair of them. Great full range sound. Great bass and highs and good mids with the voice coil on the 12 inch speaker. I use these speakers for all kinds of stuff. From my guitar to watching movies, karaoke and listening to music. I have also bought the RSG 12.8 pair to do the same thing.Just wished they have hookups for banana plugs. Thanks Rockville for making such a great product at such a good price. Will continue to buy more from Rockville because the ROCK!!!!!!! ... show more

These are outrageously awesome! The sound of these when all four are hooked up to a four port 4000 watt 16 ohm stereo is so unbelievable! These really vibrate my entire house when cranked up high! Like being at a concert when playing music and like being at a movie theater when watching movies! Crystal clear sound. No distortion. Money well spent! ... show more
