    • Great at 1080p, good at 1440, decent for entry level 4k

I’ve been using a 1070 with 1080p monitors since 2016, lately started replacing monitors with 1440 and a couple 4k, and the ol 1070 was finally starting to struggle a bit. This seemed like a good choice given it’s recent tech and comes in around the same price as the 1070 during its day, and review/benchmarks suggested The card itself is kind of cheap feeling compared to the beefy 1070. Where that has a big heat sink and a brushed aluminum backplate, this one has a big heat sink and a plastic backplate, 1070 had basic RGB, this has no leds, and so on. It runs cool enough, fans get loud but not annoying under load. Performance is beast mode max settings 120fps at 1080, with only very complex RTX crap bogging it down. DLSS works well but don’t believe the IQ hype, it is definitely noticeable. At 1440, it essentially runs the same as the 1070 did at 1080p, maybe 10% faster overall. Which is to say, still very playable with near max or actual maxed non-RT stuff. It will do a playable 4k in most games if you don’t mind some low or OFF settings, and even then you’ll need DLSS for completely stable 60fps. ... show more

I'm running Ubuntu 24.04. No overclocking, just stock. With Speed Dreams it will run 240 fps. Images while racing look pretty good. It from what I see is a good buy!

As stated no problems after two months of heavy usage. I bought this because of the 16GB VRAM size. Also, having had good experiences, I trust the PNY brand to make a reliable well-engineered product. Installed in an older 3rd gen i7 PC. Had to clear my PC's CMOS before it was recognized. It would beep and not post before I reset the ASUS MB's CMOS, flawless operation since that initial glitch. Much faster and more energy-efficient than my older GTX 10xx series cards that I was using beforehand It doesn't come with any LED light shows, that's good so it is tailored for adult use Though I would have preferred Samsung memory over the SK Hynix that it came with, so far it's proved reliable enough. ... show more

Installed this to replace old 1660 super, I have it combined with a b450-f board and an amd ryzen 5 5600x, 32gb of ram setup and have everything on COD set from normal-high and have at minimum a steady 120-130 fps. Also play iRacing on triple 32" screens, all graphics are set in a combo of med-high and have a smooth 150-160 fps on majority of tracks. Great card from what I can tell so far, never see more then 70% usage even on COD with msi afterburner monitor. ... show more

I recently upgraded my graphics capabilities from a gtx 1660 super to this 4060 TI. Absolutely worth the money for the jump in performance. I’ve easily doubled my vram with this purchase. Everything was essentially plug and play. Don’t forget to update your drivers after install!

    • Started Crashing in Less Than a Year. Horrible Customer Service

This card started crashing my son’s gaming PC in less than a year after purchase. We worked with PNY support testing various things up to wiping the whole computer, and the crashing persisted when playing games on anything but the lowest settings. The card is still under warranty but PNY wants us to ship the card to them at our own expense and be without a graphics card for 4-6 weeks while they test it. IF they decide to replace the card they will replace it with a refurbished card (I bought new). The worst graphics card and customer service I’ve ever experienced. I’ve purchased numerous cards for myself and my kids over the decades and this is the first one to die ever. Pay more if you must and buy from a better company. I will never purchase anything from PNY again. To add to this horrible customer service experience it cost $40 to ship it in a trackable manner and there is no guarantee they are going to honor the warranty. I am shipping to them so they can test it. They can easily come back and say, Nope, it worked for us so to bad so sad and I’ve got a dead card and am out $40 for shipping. ... show more
