Style: with wireless sub
First let me say this; I do not normally write reviews because of the busyness of my day at work etc. but I had to stop to do this for as many people that may be or are even now contemplating buying this unit. I did much research comparing products on line and even going to stores like "Best Buy, P.C. Richards" as well as on line at "Target, Walmart, Ebay, and of course Amazon", which I have been a prime member and customer for quite some time. Going to actual stores did not help me because I was unable to hear any of the options I chose in the price range that I was looking for ( $200 or less ) because only the Bose's and JBL'S and Sonos etc was connected which is how I really made my final decision. Rockville's live demonstration of the sound quality is really the sound that you get with this system. The only problem that I had was pairing the subwoofer and the soundbar which I believe was partly ( if not mostly ) my fault for not reading the instructions entirely but once I got past that it was smooth sailing. I really cannot believe the rich and robust bass along with the high's and distinct sounds of every instrument that is being played including vocals. I have only used the bluetooth option which is paired to my "fire stick" which plays all of my movies and music etc. and man all I can say is that I am so glad that I chose this system. I gave this system 5 stars for Sound quality, Value for money, and Sheerness because in every category it exceeds far beyond it's price of $139. I truly believe that this system can compete with many of the high end brands on the market today. You can't miss something that you never had, and for me I don't feel as though I missed out on buying another system spending more money when I have this one that suffices and even exceeds what I thought it to be! Way to go Rockville! I definitely would purchase this again and am purchasing another as a present for a friend! Oh, and by the way, Can I become a "paid spokesman and representative for the rockbar"? Just kidding. I have already started marketing and promise to upload a video of me rocking to the beat with my rockbar! I don't know where all of the negative reviews came from or how but that is not my story!

So, the setup was easy (for the speaker, my TV was another matter but I figured out it had to be the HDMI ARC connection for anyone who has issues check that). I *am* an audiophile. I'm spoiled on Bose or beats earbuds. This subwoofer/sound bar does NOT disappoint. Nice deep bass with 400W, you can adjust bass and trebel settings. Bluetooth connected quickly. It was a tossup between this and a Philips and I don't regret this decision one effn bit. Worth every dollar 😉 I can see why the rockbar employees are so happy with their jobs in the videos 😂

This One Bar Sound bar looks and sounds great. Easy to hook up. I have it hooked up to my TV using HDMI ARC connection. This allows me to use the regular TV remote to control the volume. Unfortunately, there is one inconvenience. When you turn off the TV, the soundbar goes into standby, which is exactly what you want it to do. But when you turn on the TV the soundbar remains in standby, and you have to turn on the soundbar manually with the power button or the remote. This is no big deal for a regular user, but I am setting this TV up in a guest room. That means my guests will turn on the TV, and will not understand why there is no sound. I am currently trying to figure out a work around. I called Rockville and they told me that the sound bar is designed to be manually turned on each time. Update after digging deeper: I found that my TV can be set to “Auto Sound Device” This means that the sound will always work. When I turn on the TV it checks to see if the soundbar is on (by default it’s off) and it will then use the TV’s internal speakers. So anyone who is not familiar with the soundbar will still be able to use the TV normally. Of course the soundbar sounds much better than the TV’s internal speakers, but at least there won’t be any “something is wrong with the TV” experiences. I like this One Bar Soundbar, and I would order it again, it’s a great soundbar for the price. I emailed Rockville tech support and suggested that they see if an “auto on” function could be designed in a future version. That is the only thing keeping this soundbar from being perfect.
