The Quadrajet is a four barrel carburetor,Its first application was the new-for-1965 Chevy 396ci engine. Its last application was on the 1990 Oldsmobile 307 V8 engine, which was last used in the Cadillac Brougham and full size station wagons made by Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Buick. FITS: Fits for 1980-1989 Chevy 305-350c.i engines, Chevy bowl entrance and linkage style, compatible with EGR. Second one I've bought. One for 85 Chevy 4x4, second a 72 C10. Both with 350s. Bolted right on, both trucks ran great right off the bat, didn't need to adjust a thing. However, if you want to fine tune it, jets are included, very satisfied for a daily driver.

    • Good carburetor if adj. & setup prior to installation
Quadrajet was received quickly. Well packaged. Used my truck service manual to get the carburetor setup and pre-adjusted prior to installation. It is wise to adjust for each individual installation due to the fact that Quadrajets are adjusted differently for different engines. I installed on a 1983 Chevy C10 w/305ci engine. I think someone would be lucky if it worked out of the box. As some setting were not even close. The carburetor is working well on my truck and for the money I would buy again. If you don't have the tools (angled guage & idle mixture adjustment tool) or the ability to setup yourself, then buy a carb that is already setup for your car. It will cost at around $450. They can be found with Google. If you are able to "do it yourself", then buy this carburetor. Have fun and save money. This seems to be a good carburetor once properly adjusted. It comes with some extra jets. #63 & #73 main jets and a couple sizes of intermediate jets. Problem is, Nothing tells what jet is installed in the new carburetor and I was not able to find out what was originally in my truck carburetor. So I installed as is, just to see if they worked with my truck. Seems to run ok. I still have some fine tuning to do, but it is drivable now with performance gain over the old carburetor at half the cost of many other new quadrajets. ... show more

Long time engine builder here. Thought I give this carb a try just for the sake of it. New casting, comes with jets, its adjusted, it just works... worked with all kinds of q-jets but this is just a great carb. Easy to adjust if needed, clean, e-choke and tested it on 350s, 383s, 454s and even on am I6. Will order more of those for sure. Customer is happy, shop is happy. Thanks! ... show more
