  • Good Product | Firmware Continually Being Improved
The media could not be loaded. (UPDATED FROM 4 to 5 STARS because Anthbot updated its warranty statement, and the company's firmware upgrades have consistently added improvements to address such things as mowing direction and edging. The firmware upgrades are a big selling point for this product.) THE WARRANTY. First-off, there are two items in Anthbot's warranty statement that need to be highlighted, as I'm unsure if the Anthbot I purchased on Amazon will be covered by their warranty. Amazon won't allow a link to the warranty statement (search for "Anthbot Warranty Statement") but at the time I posted this review, the statement included the following points. If the unboxing video statement is truly a requirement, it should be clearly labeled on the packaging before you open it (mine did not). Anthbot's Warranty Statement includes: • "Only lawn mower robot products purchased on anthbot.com can receive warranty service…" • Customers are required to provide an unedited unboxing video and order number in order to get "free after-sales service or replacement of missing items" or "to receive our full support." If you're comfortable taking the chance on the warranty, read on for initial impressions. THE GOOD. Setup of the Anthbot was easy and a long extension for the power cord was provided and very appreciated. Setting up the unit and mapping out the lawn area with the bot was also easy and felt a lot like driving an RC car. My Anthbot's yard is 0.4 acre, and "Munchie" the mower has no problem mowing it. (You can name your mower) As many other reviews point out, the bot is very quiet. I have two dogs (a bully and shepherd), and they pay no attention to the mower when it's operating and I have no concerns leaving them in the yard while it's mowing. You will basically start-it / schedule it and forget it, and your yard will look nice! Even though I mapped right up to the edges of my lawn, the Anthbot leaves a little space around the edges, so you will still need to trim. THE NOT AS GOOD. My Genie 3000 has been doing a solid job for its first month, but I've found it sometimes leaves thin little lines of unmown grass. This is usually in longer grass. I tried contacting Anthbot customer service thru the app three different times to ask how to change the mowing direction, and kept getting messages saying customer service was offline. That was disappointing. I didn't try emailing their support. I resigned myself to changing the mower settings to cut the yard twice during each session, and unexpectedly found out the bot will mow cross-wise on the second cut which picks up the missed areas. FINAL NOTE. I ended up purchasing a Rain Cover (parking cover) off Anthbot's website for another $200. Shipping was fast and installation was again - easy. Anthbot states the Genie 3000 is built for the elements, but I felt better with Munchie sheltered from direct sun and rain. Especially since I'm unsure of the warranty support. Overall, I would give my Anthbot Genie 3000 mower 5-stars for the combination of quality of mow, convenience, and value for the money; but I ended up taking one star off because of Anthbot's hedging on the warranty statement. It's a big investment to make without the company firmly standing in support of its product. ... show more

  • Lot to love. Dev team is doing a lot of good updates.
EDIT: As of 4/24 the dev team pushed an update that corrected some of my main concerns. If they keep making changes and listening to their supporters like they have so far this robot lawnmower will be the best on the market. Update added Boundary mowing (edge) A stop button to stop the current mowing session You can now change the direction the mower mows And a few other quality of life changes Updated to 4 star, still a few things if like to see before I change it to a 5 star :) I'm giving this robot a 3 for many many reasons. First and foremost, the tech on this robot is nuts, it has the possibility to do a lot with it's multiple cameras and sensors. With that said, there is just too much missing,as of April 20th , to give this anymore than 3 stars. Ive joined the Facebook page and I see a lot of positives and negatives (many of which mimic my concerns, wants, needs and overall feel). Cons: -ive had to remap my yard 3 times in a week. One time it said the rtk station changed location but it didn't. It gave me two option on the app to continue or something else (honestly it didn't give me time to read it before it kicked me out to a blank map that needed to be remapped again). Another time the robot started doing circles , missing entire stripes of grass and acting as if it had no clue where it was at, I had to factory reset and map the yard yet again. Another time it just randomly reset the entire map the first time I was setting it up (I think this time could have been my own fault and clicking something wrong. ) -the app, the app does a basic job on what could be amazing. There is a lot of basic functionality that just isn't there yet like splitting zones , currently you draw large squares to designate a zone... Which doesn't give you enough control over where a zone should go, especially if the zone isn't a straight line. Also, if there is a current mowing job going there is no way to pause and completely stop the mowing session, it will expect you to pickup where it left off. Only way to solve this is to remap the entire yard again. -no edge or boundary cut EDIT 4/24 . THIS IS NOW ADDED IN AN UPDATE On the Facebook group someone keeps saying it's coming by end of April but no matter how many times we ask for what exactly is coming in the update they never say for sure what's in the update. It's hard to wait on fixes or basic functionality without a clear confirmation or in a place someone can find it other than in a random Facebook post.EDIT: THEY HAVE MADE A GOOGLE DOC TO SHOW WHAT'S BRING WORKED ON -cannot see our of the robots camers while controlling it (they had not said it can do that yet, just thought I'd mention it for anyone wondering.) -when your robot gods back to charge to finish the mow the button doesn't saY resume it says "start". So it's kind of worded weird and makes you think If you click it that the map will restart. -no way to change the direction the mower cuts.EDIT THIS WAS ALSO UPDATE ON 4/24 So you will have the same (hopefully if it doesn't get lost like mine ) stripes in the yard and you can't control which way they go -when you open the app every time it tries to connect to it via Bluetooth. If you aren't near it you will see the "failed to connect" message every time ... It confuses a lot of people because it connects via WiFi but not Bluetooth. -cannot see how many satellites you are connected to however they mention how their tech connects to more (other robot mowers I've used allow you to see how many ) -cant manually control the light on the robot. It comes at when it's dark enough on its own. Also can't turn it off if need be -cant rotate the map. Once the maps made , it's always going to be in a certain orientation with no way to change it. -no wait to change from metric to imperial. It's always metric Pros - 3000 series has some serious battery life - the pathing of the cut is actually really good! (Until it had the weird meltdown and required a remap ) - setup was a breeze. Auto map and manual was very well done. -the light on the front is insane level bright lol - lots of sensors, it can detect if anything is causing the blades not to spring right -charging speed is really quick - all the cameras help it navigate and miss objects it sees very well. -value ! This is definitely one of the better mowing robots out there for what it does currently. Lastly, once the company can tie up some loose ends and communicate their changes and updates in one place that is easy to see and track , I believe a lot of hesitation to certain missing things would go away all together. This robot has a TON of potential, anthbot dev team just needs to prioritize some basic functionality and quality of life changes to make this the best robot mower on the market. If you have the patience to wait for the changes to be made.... Buy this now. ... show more

  • For all the single ladies
Are you trying to figure out how you’re going to manage your yard on your own? I have half acre on a big hill, and this little mowerbot worked no problem. Installation was easy- you will not need an electrician. I ran mine into the garage and plugged it in. The mower itself is light weight and I carry the mower into the garage for storage during the week. Saturday mornings I pop him on and run the program. Programming. Sounds scary. Super easy. It took maybe an hour to map out the yard. I edit the zones all the time depending on what I’m wanting. It took a little while but I learned that 2x makes the little guy run back over it in the other direction. If there’s a way to program it to make cool angles and cross designs, I haven’t figured it out. Watched closely for first run. Mapped out the no go zones. It took me forever to figure out how to do that bc the program is not really explained. But it’s in the map screen on the right side with the red crossed circle. Had it running within hours. Totally doable- worked perfect the second time haha. Man not required 😁 ... show more
