  • Anthbot Genie 600 Blows Away the Competition – Best Value in Wire-Free Robot Mowers
Size: Mows up to 0.22 Acre (900㎡) Style: No Wire Mower
After testing three robot lawn mowers head-to-head over 10 days, the Anthbot Genie 600 came out as the clear winner. I also tried the Segway Navimow i105N and the Yuka Mini 500H, and while both had interesting features, they just couldn’t compete when it came to reliability, ease of use, and cut quality. Anthbot Genie 600 (“Mowena”) needed rescue only twice—and one of those times was my fault due to vision settings. In contrast, the Yuka got stuck over 19 times, and the Navimow had repeated mapping problems and artificial mowing limits. Anthbot allowed me to easily map my yard (and even two neighbors’ yards!) without forcing me to stay within a hard acreage limit like the other two. The cutting lines with the Anthbot looked cleaner too—it has a slightly wider cutting disc and much smarter navigation. The mapping app was intuitive, and I loved that it let me manage multiple zones without any drama. It even handled slopes and tricky terrain without spinning out or freezing. I really wanted to like the Yuka, especially since it offers an optional clipping collection system (which is rare!). But its frequent rescues and lost maps made it frustrating to use. The Navimow had a sleek app and good obstacle detection, but it felt more limiting in real-world use due to its strict area cap and zone restrictions. For a robot mower that worked nearly flawlessly, even across three different yards, the Anthbot Genie 600 is an unbeatable value—especially at the $599 Prime Day deal. If you’re looking for a smart, flexible, and low-maintenance lawn care solution, this is the one to get. ... show more

  • This product is outstanding and I would purchase it again
Size: Mows up to 0.9 Acre (3600㎡) Style: No Wire Mower
The media could not be loaded. First, I should reveal that my situation is an extreme use case for this product. I am certain that if I had contacted Anthbot support before purchasing and asked them if their product would work in my situation, they would have dissuaded me from purchasing. I live in a northern location with at times spotty GPS coverage, I have a large lawn with very steep areas. The property shape is convoluted with multiple “no go” areas. Finally, the yard is uneven with multiple frost heaves and moose hoof prints to trap robot wheels. Add to that mix that our weather is crap with long periods of rain during our short summers. Stepping back, I have seen ads for the Anthbot Genie on social media with long diatribes against robot mowers, calling them gimmicks, another way of avoiding exercise, another job for a teenager gone, etc., etc. Here are my thoughts on this product. 1. I have been mowing my uneven, steep, large lawn with a push mower for 25 years. The lawn itself I cut out of raw land and evened out mostly with shovel, rake, and wheelbarrow. I would rather spend my time being active elsewhere now. I can run, climb mountains, ride a bike, hike, walk the dog, or spend time with my family instead of pushing a smoke-belching gas-powered lawnmower around my property. There are better things to do with my time, and it has nothing to do with being lazy or avoiding exercise. 2. I have personally slid down the hill of my lawn on my butt with a tumbling mower with spinning blades next to me on more occasions than I am comfortable with. Hiring a teenager to do my lawn is a safety risk. 3. If you can find a teenager willing to do manual labor in your area, good for you. I haven’t seen one of those for a bit. As for the product—it is not yet perfect, but I am so impressed with the Genie 3000, and with Anthbot as a company. They have already proven responsive and are working to improve the product through software updates. Setup was fairly straightforward and the Quickstart Guide was easy to follow. One issues I had was the need for a firmware upgrade on initial connection. The update failed to download multiple times. I contacted Anthbot support through the app and they were quick to respond, on a weekend! Another attempt at the download the following morning completed without an issue—I think it may have been an issue with my ISP and not the mower. The mower works very well on the majority of my lawn, uneven ground bedamned. It cuts neat stripes and deals with my convoluted perimeter without an issue. I am very pleased with the performance overall. My wife left a rake on the lawn yesterday, forgetting that the mower would soon be doing it’s thing. The machine recognized the obstacle, navigated around it, then went back later and finished that area when the rake was later picked up! The only problem I have encountered is with the steepest area of the lawn. I haven’t measured the angle, but I am fairly certain that it is outside the operating parameters of the product. The robot will get stuck in that area. I am not surprised and not too disillusioned by this limitation. I will probably let the steepest areas go back to nature and wildflowers. I probably should have done this decades ago. Things to know— 1. The mower does not eliminate he need to edge your lawn. It is a mower, not an edger. 2. Plan to play with the perimeter settings a bit to get things just right. My initial setup has resulted in pretty good performance, but I plan to repeat the setup to optimize mowing in a couple of areas. 3. It is capable of dealing with walkways and “no mow” areas between zones. It really is pretty impressive. 4. You will tinker with this product a bit, but it will certainly free up time you would have otherwise spent on the operator end of a smoke-belching mower while attempting to avoid your own toes. Final thought. Yes, this is a good product and I would buy it again without hesitation. ... show more

  • Unstable WiFi connection. Cut grass still too high though with set at 30mm
Size: Mows up to 0.22 Acre (900㎡) Style: No Wire Mower
The media could not be loaded. Apps ANTHBOT scan the device and set up properly. The signal disc took a long time before getting a solid green led. But the WiFi connection is not stable. I can access 2.4G WiFi in my whole yard but the device is not connected properly. I can’t upload my map after manually walking through the robot. The device can’t connect and I can’t get online status. My yard is about 4000 sq ft. The robot has not completed it after two days of starting manually. But it did know to get back to the base station. The cutting lines are consistent. Looks good. But the job is not done yet. Giving it another chance of software update with the help of customer support, I also need to cut the high grasses manually with my mower. The robot cuts a parallel straight line. But a few key major set backs. 1. It does not cut the grasses low. I need to run it a couple times. When the mower moves, it actually pushes down the grasses flat that when the blades run across, they may not be able to cut the flat laying grasses. You can see it in my video. 2. The WiFi signal on mower shows good but in fact, its reception could be bad that it failed uploading the map or software upgrading. I had to bring it close to my router. My base station is about 30 ft away from the router. My mobile phone has no problem accessing the 2.4G WiFi at my 4000 sq ft yard, but not this mower. I had to bring it close to the router for software upgrade before I can do anything. 3. Battery runs low in about an hour only. It needs charging a few times to cut my 4000 sq yard. It took a whole day! But the good thing is that all were done automatically. It knows when to go back charging and continued to mowing after fully charged. 4. I would need to build a shelter for it to avoid rain/water damage. And that place needs to have AC power too. It will be ideal if the mower is weather proof so that I do not need to carry it to the garage after usage. Overall, it is just ok for the money. Has a lot of room for improvement. Need much time to set up properly. Hope that it can save some mowing time. Will evaluate again after months. ... show more
