  • Automated hands-off scheduled mowing IS possible, after working out these kinks first!
Size: Genie 0.22 Acre Style: Genie 0.22 Acre
This mower is super easy to set up and get running, it's true! But to achieve truly reliable hands-off automation, you may need to try different things over a period of time. Allow yourself to patiently work through this process and you will get there. Here are my tips after working out the kinks and achieving the magic of unsupervised automated mowing: 1. Hardware location is very important - the RTK module MUST have a (mostly) clear view of the sky, the charging station MUST be within good range of your wifi (unless your model has a cellular backup), and unless you buy the RTK wall mount or extension cable, those two criteria must fit the same physical space because there is no extra cable to separate them. It may be hard to satisfy these two criteria in one place, so give this some careful thought. 2. Use manual control of the mower to map out your no-go zones like trees, dangerous terrain, steep slopes, etc. so that the mower can efficiently plan around them instead of discovering them on each run and avoiding them on the fly each time, which costs mowing time. 3. Although it is good to mow grass in the morning, schedule your runs late enough for all dew to dry before mowing. Mowing dewy grass just cakes the entire underside with sticky grass clippings and caused my mower to have issues charging until later in the day. Waiting until the dew dries has resolved my charging issues. 4. Having a level charging station is important. Sometimes I found even a slight slope can cause the mower to fall towards gravity after it docks. I dug away some dirt to allow the station to sit level and no longer have issues. 5. If you do run into any issues, reach out to [email protected] and hope that your issue is worked by Saga because she's a rock star. By far she and the team provided the best product support I've ever experienced, which really goes a long way towards making me feel good about my purchase and knowing they will help me if I run into any issues. My yard is now being mowed on a schedule each week with no intervention. It's even fun and satisfying to watch. I still need to trim the edges myself, but that is only a fraction of the time and effort I was spending on mowing before. This mower has given me hours of my life back each week, and I'm very grateful for that. ... show more

  • Disappointed with ANTHBOT 600 – Falls Short of Promises
Size: Genie 0.22 Acre Style: Genie 0.22 Acre
I had high hopes for the ANTHBOT 600, but unfortunately, it has been a frustrating experience from the start. Despite being brand new and following all setup instructions carefully, the unit has consistently underperformed. The manual promises 60 minutes of mowing time after a 90-minute charge, yet my fully charged ANTHBOT 600 runs only 20–24 minutes—on a flat, obstacle-free lawn. This is far below expectations and makes the product unusable for anything beyond a very small patch of grass. Another major flaw is in the Wi-Fi and logging system. It’s understandable for a lawn robot to lose Wi-Fi coverage outdoors. But why isn’t it designed to store log data and sync it later when back online? This is basic functionality missing from a so-called smart device. The Bluetooth connectivity is unreliable too—it disconnects frequently, even when I’m standing near the robot. This makes manual intervention or troubleshooting a hassle every single time. Lastly, while the mowing itself is generally fine, it leaves visible patches and the automapping feature skips areas. I’m hoping this will improve with multiple runs, but it certainly shouldn’t be the case out of the box for a premium product. In summary, the ANTHBOT 600 feels unfinished and unreliable, and at this point, I’m seriously questioning the value for money. Until these basic issues are resolved, I can’t recommend it. ... show more

  • Anthbot Genie 600 Blows Away the Competition – Best Value in Wire-Free Robot Mowers
Size: Genie 0.22 Acre Style: Genie 0.22 Acre
After testing three robot lawn mowers head-to-head over 10 days, the Anthbot Genie 600 came out as the clear winner. I also tried the Segway Navimow i105N and the Yuka Mini 500H, and while both had interesting features, they just couldn’t compete when it came to reliability, ease of use, and cut quality. Anthbot Genie 600 (“Mowena”) needed rescue only twice—and one of those times was my fault due to vision settings. In contrast, the Yuka got stuck over 19 times, and the Navimow had repeated mapping problems and artificial mowing limits. Anthbot allowed me to easily map my yard (and even two neighbors’ yards!) without forcing me to stay within a hard acreage limit like the other two. The cutting lines with the Anthbot looked cleaner too—it has a slightly wider cutting disc and much smarter navigation. The mapping app was intuitive, and I loved that it let me manage multiple zones without any drama. It even handled slopes and tricky terrain without spinning out or freezing. I really wanted to like the Yuka, especially since it offers an optional clipping collection system (which is rare!). But its frequent rescues and lost maps made it frustrating to use. The Navimow had a sleek app and good obstacle detection, but it felt more limiting in real-world use due to its strict area cap and zone restrictions. For a robot mower that worked nearly flawlessly, even across three different yards, the Anthbot Genie 600 is an unbeatable value—especially at the $599 Prime Day deal. If you’re looking for a smart, flexible, and low-maintenance lawn care solution, this is the one to get. ... show more

  • Get this bot and thank me later
Size: Genie 0.22 Acre Style: Genie 0.22 Acre
Edit: Now that I have finally learned how to map out my yard, this is the best thing ! Read the directions, take your time. Do sections, don’t make a continuous line around your property. The mower is finally able to cross my driveway and my back porch area. I’m not a direction reader so that’s why I had a little bit of a hard time. Just about the best thing I’ve purchased. You will still need to edge and weed whack or whatever you call that thing with a plastic string. I took a pic of the bot and you can see that we still need to trim around it. I’ve been eye balling robot mowers for a few years now and then I came across this one that doesn’t have to have the actual physical boundary lines bordering the edges of the yard. It works on wi-fi and GPS. No clue if those two things are the same. Anyway, finding the sweet spot and enough clearance for the mower was a bit of a task, but in the grand scheme of things, not a big deal. So definitely make sure you have good internet service and so many feet away from your house and the other house that this bot gets a signal. This bot is so quiet! This bot can do straight lines. Vertical, horizontal and diagonal! You can even set up on Ai and do auto and it detects when to mow again. I added a couple of screen shots and one of them is an example of how it can just go to the chosen location and just mow that part. Yesterday it said it mowed that, but it clearly didn’t. Besides my review, make sure to read all the others. I’ll probably add to this as the summer goes on. ... show more

  • Do NOT Buy – Battery Failed After 13 Months, Anthbot Refuses Warranty
Size: Genie 0.22 Acre Style: Genie 0.22 Acre
* update. Support finally agreed to send a replacement robot at no cost to me as is under warranty. I will update review once i receive the replacement and it is in working order. Issue was never with the quality of the bot, just short battery life and nonway to order a replacement.* I bought the Anthbot Genie 600 on Amazon April 19, 2025 from their official Anthbot store. It’s marketed for lawns up to 0.22 acres. My lawn is only 118 m², completely flat, and the mower is stored in a garage. After just 13 months of light use, the battery only runs 10–15 minutes before dying (advertised ~35–60 minutes when new). I contacted support with photos, maps, receipt, and serial number. I requested a simple replacement battery. They blamed my lawn, then said batteries are out of stock globally and refused any free replacement battery. I then asked since it is under warranty and they don't have a replacement battery if they could send me a refurbished model of the same or similar mower. They declined that request as well and even suggested I upgrade to a more expensive model at my expense. I have attached pictures of completed mowing jobs, and you can clearly see the square meters of the entire property and how many DAYS IT TOOK to mow this small area...ranging from 3 to 5 days!!! This is poor customer service and terrible support for a product still under their stated 2-year battery warranty. Save your money and buy from a brand that actually stands behind its products. ... show more

  • Pretty good for an underdog - and getting better all the time
Size: Genie 0.22 Acre Style: Genie 0.22 Acre
UPDATE AUG '25: This is a really good mower. I've had it for months now and it does an amazing job most of the time. I think what really helps is the support team. After my initial review they reached out and we discussed features and abilities. There's been several updates to the app since then to add useful features. Happy enough with this product to add another star! ORIGINAL: I've had this mower for two weeks now. The mower does a decently good job. My front yard is relatively flat and <500m^2 with a few flower beds, so it's not a huge challenge. I'm happy with the general mow quality. Obstacle avoidance is ok, though false positives happen with things like valve boxes and paving stones. The app is very simplistic. A little more control over the settings and map adjustments would be nice. Wish I could add or subtract small segments from the maps to adjust the boundaries. Major drawback when you map out a no-go zone: the mower won't enter the path you traced for the zone, so this leaves an additional 30cm space outside of the no-go zone that you'll have to trim manually. Edge management in general seems to be a weak spot and I've been manually trimming all the borders of my yard. That said, it's nice to be able to spend the majority of my mow session drinking coffee and watching it do most of the work. ... show more

  • 4 Months Old and Already Unusable – Terrible Reliability and Even Worse Customer Support
Size: Genie 0.22 Acre Style: Genie 0.22 Acre
I had high expectations for the ANTHBOT RTK + 4-Eye Vision robotic lawn mower, but after only four months of normal use, it has become completely unusable. It worked well at first, then suddenly stopped in the middle of mowing my front yard with nothing blocking its path. From that point on, it has never worked correctly again. Every time I try to start a mowing cycle, it displays Error E304 (Repositioning Failed). When it leaves the charging station, instead of driving straight, it immediately reverses while continuously turning to the left. After troubleshooting, I discovered that only the left rear drive wheel is powered. The right rear wheel never receives power and spins almost completely freely by hand, as if it has become disconnected internally. The wheel itself is firmly attached, doesn’t wobble, and shows no visible damage, making it appear to be a failure of the internal drive assembly. I spent a significant amount of time troubleshooting the mower, performing every reasonable check I could without voiding the warranty. I documented everything thoroughly and sent ANTHBOT exactly what they requested, including the error code, detailed descriptions of the issue, photos, and videos showing the mower turning left as it backs away from the charging station and only one rear wheel operating. I even provided additional diagnostic information to help identify the failure. Despite doing everything they asked, their customer support has been extremely disappointing. I have contacted them multiple times, and after sending all the requested information, they have simply stopped responding to my emails. Being ignored after providing extensive documentation is unacceptable, especially for a product that failed after only four months. A robotic mower is supposed to save time, not create weeks of frustration trying to get warranty support. Mechanical failures can happen with any product, but the true test of a company is how it treats its customers afterward. In my experience, ANTHBOT has completely failed that test. I cannot recommend this mower based on both its reliability and the lack of customer support. If you’re considering spending this much money on a robotic lawn mower, keep in mind that if something goes wrong, you may find yourself with an expensive machine that no longer works and a support team that simply stops responding. ... show more

  • Ready for prime time (so far so good)
Size: Genie 0.22 Acre Style: Genie 0.22 Acre
To set expectations, I have a fairly challenging yard for something like this, because it does not have well defined boundaries and has a lot of obstacles (plants, boulders, etc). And it has an irregular size, and prickly pear cactus in the lawn that I typically mow over. My yard in total is about 12% of an acre. Overall, first, you have to reset your expectation of mowing a bit. When I did it myself I was always focused on how much time it took. Now it is ok for it to be slower, once you have the confidence it will be done right. That said, if you are hosting an event at home and need to get a cut in, plan accordingly. Even if it takes you an hour to mow, this will be at least 3x longer to complete. Every time it has to charge you are adding 40-45 minutes or so. If you get down to a small remaining section, this means it could even take 4x the time. The cutting section is quite narrow compared to a regular mower (about 1/2). It does come with a replacement set of blades. It will charge back to 80% or so before restarting, and will return to the base when it gets below 20%, to ensure it has enough battery to get there. Patterns can be a bit irregular but do appear to evolve. Will the efficiency improve cut after cut? The second cut did seem more efficient but the jury is still out on it overall. It did take a different pattern and seemed to better understand the mapping, because the first cut was all about recognizing the obstacles within the geofenced area. So far it appears as though the AI component is real. The app has a great user interface and is very straight forward. You can change blade heights, view the mapped area(s), toggle on and off edge cutting, change the mowing direction, change from 1 to 2 mowing times. Other features include: Schedule Do not disturb Map management Rain and snow perception Voice settings (includes five languages) Network settings Firmware settings Logs Manual control Mowing records I will follow up with more information. So far, I really like it. I will reiterate it will take longer, and that I have only used it twice. I will come back to update later in the summer. Cheers! Update: I'm now a few months in with easily ten plus mows. I am now experimenting with zones to make mowing more efficient. So far so good. I have experienced a few glitches where it seems to get lost (inside the mapped zone) and loses battery. Nothing major though. I'm hoping for continued updates. The only complaint I have at this point is that firmware updates take numerous attempts. I just completed one this morning after seven attempts, and my network is solid. Overall still pleased and intrigued. The app constantly gets new features rolled out and I am still impressed with the user interface. ... show more
