Handle broke first time using it. While walking out of the vets office with my 20lb cat the handle broke & the crate fell to the hard ground. If you have heavier animals do not trust the handle! The weight limit is supposed to be under 25lbs, so I have no idea how it's supposed to hold that weight.

I wanted to love these! Unfortunately, they do not meet expectation of quality at all. Most carriers have screws and clips holding them together these only have plastic. The handles after only 2 uses keep falling off and once while carrying our cats into to the vet causing me to catch her mid air to keep the carrier from hitting the ground. One of the plastic covers that goes over the front door locking/unlocking mechanism has fallen off somewhere. We own a nonprofit animal sanctuary and funds are at a critical low so this was a large purchase for us that's very disappointing. I ordered a few alleged 24” carriers, but this is the only one that actually came close to that measurement - others were more like 22”. Door is rectangular which gives more space than the other “shaped” doors. A little concerned about the plastic buckles holding up, so I spent less than $5 at hardware store for bolts and wingnuts that fit the predrilled holes at each corner- not sure why mfr didn’t provide. Overall it seems sturdy enough and fits the car seatbelt thru the top handle easily. The bonded 12 pound rabbit and 5 pound rabbit fit quite nicely. ... show more

This pet carrier is small and is great for smaller animals. The plastic seems durable and the metal doors are good quality. It is easy to assemble. There are instructions but it isn’t hard to figure out. Definitely make sure to get the front door in the right holes. Also, make sure the side latches snap tightly shut. No one wants an accident that causes an escape. Both doors open and close well. With two doors and the holes all around there seems to be good airflow. The food/water cup does take up some of the pet’s space but it is removable. I had a metal pin like thing and some random plastic piece fall out when I was unpacking this carrier. So, be careful if your pets are around so they don’t get ahold of such things. My male cat walked inside it, by himself, and I took a picture so you can see about what size it is. He is normal as far as height goes but is a slim cat, so this carrier may not be suitable for extra large cats. Tiny dogs may be okay. Some rabbits and other small animals would be fine. The handle is thick and makes it easier to carry. The carrier feels durable. I wouldn’t want to drop it but it feels like maybe it could take some impact without coming apart. It would be a nice carrier if it could be assembled. It will require at least four hands as the door keeps popping out of place every time you put pressure on the latches which also do not fit well.
