I like this hose; it's doing its job and is well made with nice fit and finish. It includes tethered dust caps for all the quick disconnects which is a good extra. My only issue is that it seems to restrict the gas flow. When I connect my fire pit with a 25 foot hose, I set the knob to medium to get a nice flame. With this longer hose, I have to turn the knob up higher to get the same size flame. I wish someone made a 1/2 in hose with 3/8 in fittings for my situation where I need the length.

Purchase this to use with my Tri-fuel 9500 watt generator and natural gas plug I had installed on the side of my house. Next to the NG plug, I also had a 30amp electric plug installed which is directly connected to my breaker box. So now when the power goes out, I hook this hose and the 30amp hose to my generator, flip a switch on my breaker box and it's like I have $8000-$10,000 Generac system for a FRACTION of the cost. UPDATE: Within a 2 months of receiving this hose, the power went out and I was able to use my set up for the first time and it worked flawlessly. My frig, freezer were only off for the few minutes it took me to hook everything up and I had all my house lights, wifi, TV almost everything like I never lost power. What I like about this vs an expensive Generac, I can updrade generator to a better unit as I wish. I can take my generator with me camping or go ahead and use it for other projects around my garden. Can't do that with the Generac system. If I buy another 20 homes in my lifetime, I'll have one of these outdoor NG plugs installed in every single one. See photos. Hook the hose to the house plus, turn on the gas, then hook the other end to the generator. Then connect the electric cord from the generator to the external plug on the house. Go to the circuit breaker inside your house, flipa switch and you're entire house runs from your generator. Whole thing takes 2 minutes! Your gramma could do it! As a bonus, i can use this hose with my camper or if I ever splurge on one of those outdoor grills, this would be handy to not need to keep refilling the propane tanks or run out of juice in the middle of cooking a juicy steak bc I'll be connected to the house NG! Sweet. My plumber hooked this up in about 20 minutes with zero issues. If you're handy, super easy diy project and so awesome to have one ready. As easy as this is to do I have no idea why home builders don't have these install as a standard feature. Because I guarantee this will be a nice little selling feature if I ever go to sell my home. I know this was supposed to be a review about only the hose but I'm just so happy with my set up I had to share!

Not sure if this was a one-off problem with this gas hose, but the male plug side of the quick-connect would not mate with our gas outlet. When we tried to plug it in, it would not penetrate deep enough for the spring-loaded collar on the outlet to snap into place. We had to return it and get one from the plumber. That one cost us considerably more but it worked with no leaks.
