Every once in a blue moon you get a product that is beyond what you expected and you wish you had one more star. This is the one. I purchased the 4.6L and it's the perfect size for my three cats. Not sure how long it will be before I need to clean and refill, but it looks long enough that we can make a tiny trip to see family and the cats will be fine. This pet waterer is very attractive, well made, very sturdy. It includes a nice stainless steel bowl and a clear plastic water container that is BPA free (according to the manufacturer in the Amazon questions section). When you fill and install the clear plastic water container, there is absolutely no sound. I expected the typical bubbling sounds but got a quiet fill of water. The rubber feet are super easy to place on the bottom. I didn't see any instructions, but you could use the video from the product's amazon page. That's all you need. This is a good purchase, good choice.

I got this water feeder for my cat so that she can have a metal bowl to prevent cat acne. It is a robust design and has held up well. It is relatively easy to clean and separate the components. I have put the metal basin and the plastic "filter holder" in the dishwasher with good results. The design is a little awkward for cats but it is working okay Pros: - Easy to clean and dishwasher worked okay - Stylish design - Durable materials and good component design for robustness - Pretty easy to disassemble for cleaning, sometimes the "filter holder" disk will be a little stuck but it always removes Cons: - The water bowl basin is at a bit of an awkwardly tall height for medium sized house cats - the water sits relatively low (even when the gravity bottle is 100% filled) and the walls are tall so a cat needs to really arch itself over the wall to drink - it seems to be more of an appropriate design for dogs. If it's lower relatively to where the cat stands it seems to be a bit better. - The plastic of the gravity bottle is a little thin (think the thickness of a 2L soda bottle). - The filter element is fully plastic (you can tell in images but just confirming know) and mine did not have any filter disks but they can be cut to shape and added I suppose.

Love this water dispenser. Absolutely no issues, my cat likes it too because he can hear/ see the water dispensing so it encourages him to drink. I just wanted to be able to take overnight trips and feel safe knowing my cat was feed and watered. It’s clear and easy to see when it’s running low. I got not the smallest size, but one up from that. Only needs to be filled every other week. Make sure that you have it on a flat surface or the water will not dispense enough. If your floor is uneven (and I mean drastically uneven not minimally) you can place a cloth or cardboard under the base. The tall part where the water is needs to be equal or higher than the bowl. If the bowl is higher, it thinks the water is full and will not dispense. This is very easy, a child can use it. No issues with my cat. I even placed a regular water bowl next to it to see which he preferred, and he prefers this. No electricity, it just works by gravity alone.

We've had several other similar watering stations but they were all plastic and very hard to clean. This one is very easy to clean and it is heavy enough that my Cavalier doesn't push it around. The filter is an added bonus that keeps the water fresh and clean. My dog drinks more water now than he did with the other plastic ones. The metal drinking pan lifts right out and is a breeze to clean at each refill. This one costs a bit more than the others, but the extra money spent was well worth the expense. Great product. My recommendation? Buy one!
