  • An Incredible and Unexpectedly Pleasant Purchase of Sunglasses!
Color: Black&grey
These glasses arrived quickly and the first thing I noticed was how well packaged they were. Inside a standard, but strong cardboard box was the attractive and sturdy box which housed the product. Double the protection to keep the product safe and the inside packaging looking attractive for yourself, but especially if you were buying the product as a gift for someone else. Once I opened the main packaging, the first impression and thought I had was, "This is quality!" The company took the time and put forth the effort to do much more than put the sunglasses in an empty box and to let them rattle around in there. Instead, the sunglasses were were carefully wrapped in their own protective covering as was the high quality protective case that I didn't even know that came with the sun glasses. It's a stylish, hard shell case with a soft interior to protect the sunglasses anywhere you go. It's well designed in and out. It has a not only a very nice zipper, but it also has a strong, plastic clip so you could attach the case to your belt loop, or any loop inside or outside a purse, backpack, or anything else. But, that's not all. Along with the sunglasses are two, very soft cleaning cloths that won't scratch the glasses at all. The cloths will easily fit into the carrying case so you have them with you wherever you go. Also included is extremely nice lanyard to connect to the glasses behind you head or around the back of your neck so they never fall or slide off your face and hit the ground. This was a great touch and unexpected. Instructions come with the sunglasses about different color lenses and what they do for your eyes and vision in case you plan to buy other pairs. And, there's a fun drawing of someone fishing, but until you put the sunglasses on, you can't see the hidden part of picture, which shows you how much you may be missing from sun glare and shadows when your eyes aren't fully protected from harmful UV rays. These sunglasses provide full protection against everything that can harm your eyes when out in the sun. And, I liked how the fit up against the sides of my face/eyes keeping them protected from wind, dust, sun from the side, and much more. The arms of the glasses fit snug without being tight and uncomfortable. The look sleek and stylish. I'm so glad I bought these. I usually read everything about a product before I buy it, but this time I just liked the look of the glasses and the cost, so I had no idea of all the extras that were included for free. It was like getting a gift that keeps giving, such as when someone gives you a backpack for a present, but they've gone several steps further by filling it with lots of of fun. This product was cool and fun by itself, but the extras just made it extra special. An excellent value and a wonderful purchase. I I highly recommend this affordable set! ... show more

  • Once you find the right one, they are great
Color: Transparent Grey Frame/Green Lens
I've always been a dollar-store sunglasses guy but getting older I find the protection they offer sometimes lacking and also have been wanting something more consistently comfortable. I've been very happy with these sunglasses as they offer good protection, are comfortable, and are pretty dang durable. I'm hard on sunglasses and don't really take good care of them and these have held up well for over six months now. Admittedly though it took me a while to find the lens colors that I like. I first started with the Transparent Grey color, because I thought they looked good and that I would like the lens color. The blue and green though is visible though when wearing them and I found it visually distracting to see blue and or green depending where I was looking. I then tried the Black Ice Red Lens, which have an orange and red lens appearance form outside. Thinking this was the colors I would see through them; because I do like warmer colors. They unfortunately from what I recall bluish in color when wearing them and gave everything a very washed out, over-saturated look. Then I got the Transparent Grey Ice Blue Lens color, and I really like this one a lot. They look blue from outside, but when you wear them they have a very slight brown-orange tint, giving everything a consistent warm color. I really like this and find it comfortable. I also got a pair of the Black Night Version with the yellow lenses. Wow! These are great for driving at dusk/dawn or when otherwise very overcast outside. The polarized lenses also result in a lot of reflective surfaces such as vehicle windshields and glass glow yellow, making them very obvious and easy to see. This allows me to see those morons driving around during near-dark hours without headlights on lot easier. On top of the great lenses, like I said I find these very comfortable and durable glasses. I will probably buy a few more pairs and enjoy them for years to come! ... show more

  • Not Oakleys but stylish and fit well under a helmet
Color: Full Black
I lost my old Oakley Minute 2.0 shades that I've had for 10 years. Can't see spending $250 (or more) on another pair so I opted to try these. Objectively, they are fine and worth the price. But they are NOT Oakleys or Raybans, so don't expect expect them to be. It you're okay with that, these might be a good option. Will kick myself for another 10 years for losing the - hands down - best sunglasses on the planet (Oakley Minute 2.0) and wearing these cheap (inexpensive) glasses for a while is my penance (aside from not having them any longer). All that said, these seem to be well made (for what they are) and come with the 'extras' listed. Does anyone need those 'extras'? Probably not. Just another thing to misplace and wonder what happened to them even though you'll likely never use/need them (case). But a nice touch including them. Definitely several steps up from mall kiosk sunglasses and you won't regret buying them. Style is subjective. You'll either like them or you won't. But you'll have to have them to see if you like them. Luckily, Amazon returns are easy if it turns out you don't like them so really nothing to lose but time either way. Overall, I do recommend them (if you're not ready to spend a small fortune on really good ones). ... show more

  • Buy with confidence
Color: Black&grey
So far I have had these sunglasses for about a month and I love them. I am pretty hard on my glasses, ( I have gone through 3 pair this year) but so far these have held up well. I personally like the wrap around feel and these fit my head quite well even when wearing a hat. Other sunglasses I have had in the past had such long ear pieces that they would push on my hat meaning that I had to adjust one or the other to get them to fit comfortably. That hasn't been the case with these. They also stay on my head quite well. The rubber tips grip my head really well without squeezing and giving me a headache. Even without a hat on these sit snugly and I don't have to worry about them falling off which has been a problem with others. In addition these sunglasses are great for being outdoor all day. I work on a golf course so my eyes fatigue from being in the sun all day. The polorized lenses have been great and block out just enough light to let me see when in the shade or down into holes that I'm digging. The only problem I have had with these glasses is more of just something that I didn't expect. By now I have gotten used to it but there are small ridges on the underside of the earpieces where the rubber is. I believe that is one of the reasons that they hold onto my head so well but right out of the gate it felt a little funny when putting them on or off. I put them on/take them off many times a day so this is something I had to get used to. It hasn't caused any soreness or anything so not really a problem which is why I didn't take any stars off. Just something to get used to. All in all, if you need a cheaper pair of sunglasses these are great. Like I said, I have had many pairs including Oakley's, Fossil, Iron Man, and many other brands. My Oakley's were my all time favorite but so far these aren't far behind. If my opinion changes I will update my review but for now. I'm a fan. ... show more

  • EXTREME...ly reasonable EXTREME...ly reasonable
Color: Black
I paid just under 20 bucks for these glasses. If these are as legit as they say they are, this is a fantastic deal. Most of the big name brand sunglasses are all really made by the same company, much like mattresses. I don't know the story on these, but considering what you pay for on a single pair of Bausch & Lomb for example, you could easily get a pair for every occasion. I used to avoid all off-brand sunglasses because they did not offer 100% UVA/B/C protection. Those $20 convenient store sunglasses just wrecked your eyes. I would love if I could validate the claim on this brand. These report that they do offer that 100% UVA/B/C protection, and are polarized as well. My wife didn't even realize i was wearing new glasses and thought I was still wearing my old reliable Sunclouds. PROS: + Packaged nicely + Look great for the style + Wear well + Comes with a load of accessories including a hard case (Pictured) + Looks very close to other similar styled name brand glasses (side by side in picture: RIVBOS/left, Suncloud/right) CONS: - screws for hinges are on the underside of the hinge. Hopefully this won't be an issue, i've had other pairs like this without issue but it annoys me. - fit is a little generic. they wear well for me but could be odd for others. - the optical correctness of the lens feels ever so slightly off at the edges, like there is a slight visual warble. it takes some effort to notice it (like looking sideways and moving/tilting your head around), but if your eyes are sensitive to noticing these things and getting headaches from them, I thought this would be an important thing to note. It could be that they are just different enough from me previous glasses that I am noticing the difference and will eventually get used to it. Overall, the cost and protection that these offer is outstanding, so 5 stars. The reviews seem to include a variety of styles and models so Please note the pictures. My review is of this pictured pair and so far is the only pair I've purchased, but now i may buy a few different colors/styles to match whatever i'm wearing :) ... show more

  • Very average pair, I'm ordering my 5th one though
Color: Black&grey
I've purchased 4 of these now, mostly lightning deals so I'm somewhere between $65-$80 invested. I've also purchased 3 of the kids version for my kids. My first pair I got back in 2018 so I've had these for a couple of years now. Pros: -Extremely cheap. As they break down I just buy new ones. Overall I've spent less on multiple pairs than I would have for a top name brand of equivalent quality. My old Oakley's are on par with these and my WileyX are slightly better. -Snug to the head without squeezing it. You can run for miles with these but they aren't tight enough to do a CrossFit workout or anything with vertical movements (burpees, box jumps, etc.). Initially they're alright but as you start to sweat they slip right off. -Polarized. Everyone should wear polarized sunglasses, especially when driving. Protect your eyes. If you need to see a screen then take them off momentarily. Also you don't need a screen when you're driving. Get off your phone. -Size is great for an average sized head. There no extension on the arms of the sunglasses but they're malleable enough that the bridge of the glasses will slightly bend to accommodate a larger head. Cons: -The lenses are not scratch resistant. If you put these in your pocket then they will eventually start scratching. It's best if you leave one in your car for driving. -Out of my four, three had the rubber pieces on the arms of the glasses come off. I had to reglue them back on with mixed results. Over time the adhesive fails and they come off. -The plastic at the join of the arms and frame is pretty low budget. Over time (4 months or so) it starts to get really loose and they will start to slip on your head much easier. You can retighten them pretty easily, I do, but after doing that 2-3 times the plastic itself starts to wear down where the screw is and it won't stay right. -If a lens pops out it's difficult to get back in. It was machined for the lenses to not come out in the first place so if they do it will be difficult to replace them. -Not malleable. If someone accidentally steps on then they'll pop out a lens and the arms may break. See the above two points. Tried to hit the highlights. It's legit just a cheap average pair of sunglasses with some nice Pros. I'm literally about to order my 5th pair right now because I like to wear them when I work out in the summer and my current one is getting looser. I keep a spare in my car, one in my beach bag now, one in the pocket of my uniform that I don't mind getting scratched up, and I have an extra one that's basically for parts in because one of the arms is broken (thanks kids) ... show more

  • Nice night driving glasses
Color: Black Night Version
The combination of getting older, combined with the super-bright headlights on newer cars, aggravates my eyes when driving at night. I have a long commute and on my drive home, I'm often bothered by the headlights of oncoming cars. I decided to try some glasses to help with this problem, and these RIVBOS glasses seem to fit the bill. First off, they are comfortable, which is really important to me. The night driving lens are a good color, and don't mess up colors too badly (well, they are yellow so everything has a tint.) The polarization does not seem to be very good on these glasses with the night driving lens. I guess there is some polarization, but compared to other polarized sunglasses I have, the effect it limited. But, the important part, is that they really seem to help at night. I've worn them for a few nights now and am pretty happy with them. They aren't dark enough to limit visibility of seeing normal things, but for oncoming headlights, they help out a lot. The super bright reflection off of some white roadside signs is also muted effectively. Summary: Comfort=good, Polarization=okay, Tinting=good ============= Updated 5/12/2019 - Updated to five stars. These glasses are awesome. The polarization is just fine on these glasses, after having worn them for a while. They are a real asset in poor driving conditions, like when it is raining heavily. I may have to order another pair so I don't have to keep swapping them between vehicles. ============= Updated 01/05/2022 - Staying at five stars but giving a positive comment for customer support. I accidentally broke my night driving glasses. I emailed Rivbos asking if they could recommend a glue to reattach the broken off arms. I sent them a picture of the damage, and they responded by saying the product has a lifetime warranty (even though I broke them), and proceeded to send me a free replacement pair! Sure enough, after a few days, a replacement pair of glasses arrived. I'm really impressed that they did that. ... show more

  • Converted Oakley fan
Color: Black
Yes, I was a big fan of Oakley until I ran across these at a fraction of the price. I decided it was worth the risk to try them and at their price point, frankly I did not expect too much. Wow, was I surprised when I pulled them out of the box. They come with accessories and they are sleek sharp-looking sunglasses which provide great sun protection and a large frame of vision without any obstruction, just like my Oakleys. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable. So I wore the Rivbos for several months and while not wearing them when I was out, I kept them in a soft protective pouch in my front pocket. Well one day I happened to have my car key fob in the same pocket and must have bumped into something which caused the key fob to press into the pouch and it did leave a large round scratch on one of the lenses which I could see plainly when putting them on and it was a distraction. Well I thought, at this price and with how much I had enjoyed them, I ordered myself another pair. Fast forward a few months and I have been enjoying my scratch-free pair (and being more careful.) Rivbos reached out to me recently and asked me if I was satisfied with their product and I told them of course and I recounted the story about how I damaged my first pair. Without question or hesitation, Rivbos set up an order for new pair to be shipped to me! So not only is this a great product, they have a great company standing behind it and willing to do whatever it takes to make their customers happy. I will swear by Rivbos as my sunglasses of choice and will also recommend them to all my friends and fellow review readers and you should too! ... show more
