Quick delivery, packaged well, and I know it will be a conversation piece hanging on my fence. I’m sure I’ll be ordering from this vendor again to get replacement tubes for the following year. Will hang it the first of March for the little bees.

    • Broke in windstorm
The bee house should be securely attached to a base as bees do not like their house to move in the wind. We did this and the entire house came off of the base when we had blustery wind. My husband is working at putting it back together with finish nails in hopes it stays put.

This bee house comes fully assembled and ready to use. It comes with a wax coating and recommends to be placed in full morning sun, but it also recommends covering to protect from elements, so was tricky placing it. It is well built and looks nice, but it isn’t designed to be fully outdoors. I had to use a separate covering for it to extend its life and protect the bees. The tubes slide out easily so it needs to be mounting securely so that it doesn’t move. It has two kings on the back for securing. It did not come with screws but I was able to mount it on my fence and it feels sturdy. The tubes also have to be replaced at least annually. It was really nice to add it to the garden, but it isn’t zero maintenance like I assumed. ... show more

This bee house is really cute, and seems sturdy enough. I love the honeycomb shape! It comes with some great information and advice on how and where to hang it, which I really appreciated (see photos). I guess this one doesn't come with the ability to hang it, because it's not supposed to move or sway in the wind, or the bees won't use it. I'm putting this on the fence along my property line - and the instructions helped me decide that. The one negative here, is that it doesn't come with screws or anything to hang it.     • Fell apart after hanging 2 months
Take your business elsewhere. The house looked nice, but the back fell off the house after hanging 2 months in mild weather. The back of the house is still hanging, but the now backless house, and all the filled tubes with mason bee larvae in it, fell to the ground beneath. I’m definitely buying a new house from someone else next year. The craftsmanship from this place is just plain bad, especially for the price. ... show more

Phragmite Reed is what you want when it comes to bee boxes. This is a great example of what a bee box should be constructed like. Great craftsmanship and easy to hang. Very sturdy on fence. Love the look of this Mason Bee House in my vegetable garden. Good for attracting bees to pollinate my fruits and veggies. Super cute design. I like that you can easily replace the Bee tubes when needed.
