  • Have some big limitations but still five stars
Style: Smith Machine Upgraded 2.0
For the money you can't beat it as far as I'm concerned...but this is not for someone that's 6'5, 220 lbs of solid muscle, and needs the full functionality of a gym rated Smith machine. The benefits of this machine are also its drawbacks. It is significantly cheaper, lighter, and smaller than something you will pay at least double or triple for. However it is definitely sturdy enough to hold up to the average gym goers daily use. The one major drawback I feel like everyone who buys this should be aware of is that the depth inside of the Smith machine itself is not very good. Buy this I mean that you can do a flat bench press just fine, but trying an incline or decline press is impossible unless you have a very very small and compact adjustable bench. And even then I'm not sure it would work. If you must have incline and decline bench press options then I would steer away from this unit. The other thing I would complain about but it's definitely not enough to make me not purchase the unit, is the knurling on the bar is inconsistent. Some places it feels adequate and some places it feels like it's not there at all. The positives are that both sets of guide rods for the Smith machine and the lat pull down are very smooth, it takes up a very small footprint compared to other machines, and it feels plenty sturdy for the average user. The bang for your buck is unbeatable. ... show more

  • Good price for a dependable machine!
Style: Smith Machine Upgraded 2.0
I Got the 2 boxes and box with collars in a timely manner. I contacted Ritfit and they were very quick to reply and very friendly as well as professional. I watched a YouTube video to put it together, which I recommend. It fits nicely in my mancave. I can move the foot rests for rowing and move my bench in for incline Bench. I had read where that could not be done, but it works. Then put the easily to take off and put back on feet rests. I can a complete body workout with no problem. The only thing I did not care for was the small tube of oil for bearings, it had leaked out. Before using. I will get some for the future. It the bar slides smoothly and very little noise. If you want a way to workout at home without the hassle of going to a gym this is for you. Less wasted time and easier to do right there at home! Quality of the equipment is very sturdy for my needs. Highly recommend this product. I had ordered some extra accessories such as a v-shaped tricep handle and v-shaped row handle. But it has been about 2 months with no reply saying I would get email when they were sending it, so I cancelled that order. Everything else was great! ... show more

  • Works well for home gym.
Style: Smith Machine Upgraded 2.0
If you’re a tall man, this is a little small for you. But for the average size woman, it’s perfect. Works smoothly. Instructions were clear. Cable kickbacks are a little awkward because pulley doesn’t move up for better mobility and nothing to hold onto to brace yourself better. But overall I love it. ... show more

  • Great value but nearly too small (updated)
Style: Smith Machine Upgraded 2.0
For the money, I don’t think you can beat this Smith machine. Had to wait on a replacement part but Ritfit sent it out right away. Assembly took me almost 3 hours but I did it alone. Lubed the guide rods and tested out several movements. It’s smooth and the stability is fine for a machine of this size. The pulleys work fine but I upgraded most of them with some aluminum pulleys I had, so even smoother. My Rogue bench just barely fits for me to be able to do low incline press (see pic). I have to flip the bench around for 45-degree incline and shoulder press. As you can see in the pic, the distance between the guide rods is narrow. I barely fit to be able to perform pressing movements, and my elbows hit the safety hooks if I try to flare my elbows out (e.g., guillotine press), so not sure the safety hooks will do me much good for pressing. I’m nearly 6’2” and I weigh 285 lbs. If you’re taller than me or have a wingspan greater than 73.5”, you will have to tuck your elbows to press on this. The band pegs are a nice touch, as are the foot plates and landmine attachment (which seems to have been improved over previous versions I saw in reviews on YouTube). I’ve loaded 315 pounds on the bar so far, and it felt fine. While not up to Coop’s standards, the knurling on the bar is adequate. Only thing keeping me from giving it a 5-star review is I wish it was about 2” wider between the guide rods. As I use this more, I’ll update my review if necessary. Update (May 5, 2025): I’ve been using the Smith machine regularly since my last review. I really like it and have had no issues using it with up to 3 45-lb plates per side. A few things I’ve noticed: The heavier the load, the harder it is to turn the bar to return the safety hooks to the holes. I can’t use the safety stops on some lifts because the holes are spaced just far enough apart that it either limits my range of motion or they’re outside my range of motion in the bottom of the lift. Finally, if you have two or more 45-lb plates on the storage posts and a 45-lb plate on the bar when doing anything that goes low on the rack (e.g. stiff leg deadlifts), the plate on the bar hits the plates on the posts. These are small annoyances considering the price, and I still think this is a great value. ... show more

  • Great smith machine that reasonably priced
Style: Smith Machine Upgraded 2.0
There are a few ways I found to make assembly easier. Pay close attention to instructions with the placement of parts cable a little bit difficult but the payoff is awesome. If a buffoon like me can put it together you can. They did that all for $460. One can't beat that value. Smith machine bearing are awesome. I would compare it to machines in a gym. The lat pulldown can handle 300 lbs. Lat machine is also smooth. Smith machine goes up to 500lb and at age 64 it will limit me from doing stupid things to get injured. They did a good job with the back row. In addition there is a land mine attachment and a place to use bands. This is where quality and price come to a confluence. ... show more

  • Great Buy!!!
Style: Smith Machine Upgraded 2.0
I started working out a couple of years ago. Not an expert by any means and certainly have made some improvements. This machine by far is going to help me so much! I love the multi-function. I have a small space and this was perfect for the height of my gym shed. Took us about 2 hours to put together. I like that this is not a huge piece of equipment but it is solid, definitely worth it. Can’t beat the price! ... show more
