Pros: Delivery was very fast but the box got beat up pretty bad on the way. There were no foam, wood, or other packing material to keep the part from moving around in the box. One of the bars had multiple areas where the paint was chipped but nothing was bent or smashed. I am not sure what gauge steel but it is thicker than my Fitness Gear Half rack I got form Dicks Sporting Goods. I am quite satisfied with the overall weight and quality of the all the parts. The installation directions were very clear and easy to follow. There were two steps that called for the wrong screws (short ones instead of the long ones). That was easy enough to figure out though. Installation overall was very good and I got it all put together within one hour. I was very particular so most folks might be able to bet it put together even faster. It still feels a tad bit wobbly, however I highly doubt it will tip over onto it's side without a LOT of effort. The sliding mechanism was not very smooth but a little bit greased fixed it. The cables and pulleys all worked as expected with no issues. Over all I am still very satisfied with it. The equipment is very much worth the price being asked for it (about $299 when I bought it). ... show more

Of all the home gym lay pull-down system this was the only one that had the height to allow full range of motion/extension of my lats. It is solid! The plates go up and down very smoothly and the adjustable seats and pad is super useful. Again the height is very important so make sure you buy this one over the shorter version from other companies. ... show more

    • Have to be fair- about a month after I posted my initial review- I did receive the missing parts.
I received this Lat Machine in a heavily damaged box (probably should have been packaged better.) It was missing two parts- but assembled it anyway. I emailed the manufacturer twice- on July 18th and then again on July 24th asking them to send me the missing parts. As of today (July 29th) I have received no response. The machine is adequate for my purposes- but one problem in the design is that it is difficult to tighten the bolts enough to prevent the frame from shifting side to side. ( it does not slide very far either way- but this shouldn't happen.) ... show more

I have been looking at lat pull down machines for awhile (I considered the Valor and X-mark), however I’ve been skeptical of the quality and range of motion I’ve seen in the sub $500 range. I’m 6’3” with long arms (my dress shirts are 38” in the sleeve), so I took a chance on this RitFit because it had the tallest dimensions I could find without spending $1,000+. I’m glad I did, I get a full range of motion on lat pull downs and I even have 2 notches available that I could lower the seat, but I don’t need to. For taller people, I’d suggest not using the included chain on the lat pull down, instead use 2 carabiners. This machine will work fine for shorter people, as they can use the chain so the bar hangs lower. This machine was designed well, there is no wiggle when using, the low row bar doesn’t hit the flip plate when doing rows, and there is just enough clearance for the cable not to rub against the seat when doing bicep curls. I put this together myself in 30 minutes. I am extremely satisfied with this machine, and glad I took a chance on it. ... show more

    • A few missing pieces
I finally got around to attempting to assemble this (been on vacation). I completed the inventory of all items and was disappointed to find the following were missing: Bolt Plate, Rubber Gaskets (4), M10*75 Hex Bolt (2), M10*70 Hex Bolt, M10*25 Hex Bolt. The screw washers were exact and I received 10 screw nuts vs 8 (rather have more than not enough though ;) ). The other large pieces arrived in an incredible condition with no dents or blemishes. I am looking forward to getting this put together and trying it out. The equipment appears to be heavy duty and this was why I chose this this item verses so many others available. I will keep this review updated once I get the missing items. ... show more

This is a great little machine for a home gym, especially at this price point. It took me about 90 minutes to put it together, and the instructions were easy to follow. We have 2" bumper plates and some smaller change plates, and they all fit perfectly. It only comes with a wide pulldown bar and a narrow upright row bar, so I did purchase an accessory set separately. (There are tons to choose from.) ... show more

The RitFit Lat Pull down functions well but there are areas on the product that require improvement. First the caps on the end of the plate holder do not secure properly. Secondly had to tighten the bolts on the base in order for product not to lean. Lastly the cable often becomes tangled when not being utilized. The good points are the price and it’s easy to assemble. Overall would rate it average and would not buy again. ... show more

For a machine thats under $300 its ok. But dont expect gym quality. This is my third item I've gotten from Rifitness. The fitting is ok, material is ok and lots of dents ( at least my experience) if youre planning to use it everyday and put lots of weight...good luck I wouldn't recommend it.I hate puting negative reviews but next time I will buy a more expensive machine. ... show more
