New cut out design is made to fit Mercury and Yamaha CMS 4-stroke outboard motors and others with 2 trim cylinders and is .750 or 3/4 inches longer. Also comes with an allen wrench. The RITE-HITE motor holder is the ideal way to stabilize the outboard motor while trailering your boat. It is constructed from unbreakable UHMW material and a high impact rubber top. The motor holder comes with 2 hydraulic steering stabilizers, so that the motor will not rotate side to side while trailering. This motor holder is the affordable way of reducting the risk of damaging your motor while on the move. I use this instead of a transom saver on my 24 ft Thunder Jet with a 2021 Suzuki DF300B on it. The boat has an extended transom and a normal transom saver won’t reach the connecting point on the trailer. This product keeps the motor stable when trailering and the included red braces keep the motor centered. For my application there is no rubbing or fears of scratching the motor. Both the boat and motor manufacturers recommend using such a device to prevent unwanted bouncing or other motion when trailering. Just don’t forget the Allen Key/wrench on your way to the boat launch, don’t ask how I know. ... show more

My engine sits so low that I cant even lower it completely down without it touching the ground while on the trailer even while connected to my vehicle with the trailer level. This is used on a 2020 Yamaha 150 long shaft. It seems to have good clearance from the grease joint but if you lower the motor into it, it seems like it it will just bearly reach the grease joint. The motor holder is sturdy. For the money overall worth it. I will say when you adjust width, don't snig down the Allen bolt too tight. In thought I barely tightened it and it stripped the piece inside. It still works to hold my yamaha 250. I just know the bolt is loose. Overall worth the money vs other way more expensive alternatives. Just wish it came with lifetime warranty like competitors. ... show more

    • Good, simple to adjust width, easy to install...
I found this motor tilt support easy to adjust for easy install each time on my Yamaha SHO. I did cut a little rubber out from the cross piece to make better clearance for the starboard grease zerk on the SHO. Easy mod and won't shear off zerk like the stock Yamaha tube does (when put on the wrong side - like I've done before). ... show more

It was a perfect fit for a 200 4 strike merc. The motor sat a little low. The customer service for this company was the best I have dealt with. I sent an email and they responded within minutes. They sent me tube extensions. The motor rides at the perfect height now.

Used on a 2007 Nautic Star 230 with Yamaha F225. Went to the river after installing the new motor holder. It worked flawlessly and held the motor at a comfortable level from the ground. Definitely a good value considering other mounts are much more expensive.
