The intended use is to support and brace the outboard motor when trailering to prevent any unwanted motor travel up and down when trailering, This unwanted movement can put damaging pressure to the tilt and trim unit's hydraulic system and boat transom without using wedge/block support.
- EASY TO USE: No drilling or special installation required, no need to bend over or get on your knees. Eliminate metal to skeg scrapping compared to metal transom savers. Simply tilt engine up, insert high pressure wedge into Tilt Ram piston, then tilt down and you are on your way. No metal, no worries of rust or corrosion and is safe to use in both salt and freshwater applications. No need for straps, rope, bungies, skeg support, or brackets. All you need is the high pressure wedge.
- UPGRADED DESIGN/HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM: High Density EPDM rubber formula. Trial tested and constructed better by Mangrove Products. Compression testing over 2000 lbs of pressure (Updated), extended wedge length to aid in higher skeg ride height, withstand extreme hot/cold temps under compression, 10 inner notches for secure connection to tilt shaft, colored visual surface, and ergonomic design for storage in dry box. Pressure between the wedge and tilt/trim unit will not damage the wedge unit.

We love this product, the fitment guide made it very easy to figure out if this transom saver would fit our Yamaha 4-stroke. I see a mixed bag of feedback on here but I have had great results and no deformity failure, to add the compression point of our Yamaha puts an imprint on the rubber block which hasn’t caused any compression issues and is normal from what I was reading. I feel like some people are using this on larger rated engines which might be giving the bad responses. All I know is that we have had stellar results so far!! It is much easier to use compared to the traditional metal version and stores easy because of the compact size. It’s rubber is very hard and is holding the weight of the motor under pressure. I would recommend this product if you trailer your boat.

I love this little super handy unit! I have only used this twice so far but it's really convenient and does the job. I wrapped a piece of surveyors ribbon thru the center hole with an 8" tail to remind me to take it off when arriving at the lake and then upon removal, I leave it conspicuously in the front seat of the car so I don't forget to put it on when I leave.

Quality product. I have a Mercury Verado 225XL I ordered two since I have two trim rams. My trailer configuration does not allow for a tradition transom saver These fit snug around the trim piston and the outboard is lowered onto the product. The product is made of a high quality rubber. It is very easy to install and use and easy to remove.

The media could not be loaded. My new trailer isn’t set up for a traditional transom saver. I found this product and it seems to work great. Haven’t tested on the road and still want to find a steering lock but this seems to be the trick for supporting the motor. It fit well.

Looks and feels like a well made product. However, it doesn't stay in place on long trips. I used this product to secure a Yamaha F200 4stroke outboard while moving our boat from Northern VA to coastal SC(475+/- miles). Checked halfway during trip and seemed fine. When we arrived home I noticed the device had been wedged out of place at some point and the motor was now sitting quite a bit lower than it was before departing the gas station halfway through the trip. Can't really recommend the product for long trips, but it could possibly be decent for around town, boat ramp to home, etc
