I use these at the bottom of my gate. I have two gates to come together for a total of 16 feet so each gate is 8 foot. I bought two of these for each side and where it was very difficult to open and close before the wind will do it now, so it’s worked out very well. I had no matter tires on the other ones that I had and they were constantly going flat even when I filled them with fix a flat these rubber hard tires seem to be the trick. I was suggesting installation that you press down on the Jack when screwing it in so that you take the tension off the spring and when you let go and have it all attached. The sprinkle bounce the gate up slightly so it’s kind of a plus that it’s got that also it’s pretty important to get left side right side. You wouldn’t think there’s a difference but I actually had to cut the tabs off one of them my head because there’s just no way to use it because technically it should’ve been for the other side but great product easy to use. I didn’t use the screws that came with it. I went and bought a quarter inch x 2 1/2” leg bolts and did a small pre-drill on the wood, some minor and 2 x 4 some of them were in 4 x 4’s, but overall, I’m pretty happy with the product.

I have three of these. Two work just fine. The third one was installed onto a very heavy gate. It failed in a week. But the gate was simply too big for this wheel. I got a new wheel for that gate, an 8 Inch heavy duty 750 lb rated wheel, and it works. So I would say the 4 inch wheel failed because of improper application. The other two are working just fine.

The similar wheels I bought from home depot and lowes were great at first, but the bracket always ended up sagging, the incorporated supports on this item seem to have overcome the issue it's competitors have, and I am so far Highly satisfied. Mounting was way easier than others and it feels solid. The wheel is holding up well after a month or two, and still rolls smoothly.

Poorly engineered product forcing the customer to mount the wheel with only one option. Instructions say that you can change orientation by removing a stem pin but DO NOT believe them. This is impossible with the spring, washers, and stem forming an unworkable process. Several complaints can be seen for this problem in these reviews.
