I purchased the 150 lbs. heavy bag. MY BAG DID COME WITH A MOUNTING CHAIN!!!! I have had it for approximately a week now and you really can tell the difference between the 100 lbs. Everlast heavy bag I broke in less than 6 months and this Monster of a heavy bag. the D-rings are close to 3/16" thick the leather for the D-rings are both sewn and riveted on. There is a D-ring on the bottom as well same thickness as the other D-rings and that was sewn on with a criss-cross nylon strap to the bottom of the bag. This bag is definitely built to last. I purchased this bag because of someone else's review stating that they were burning through Everlast bags as well and appreciated the quality. So for those looking for something that will last a lot longer than 6 months. This bag is where its at!!!! Great Job Ringside!!!! ... show more

After one session with this bag, I am thrilled. I originally purchased Ringside 100lbs Powerhide bag was disappointed with it. Comparing these two bags, this Large leather bag one is much bigger (48" tall and 16" wide) and gives me the impression that I have a challenge to knock down versus the smaller Powerhide (42" tall and 14" wide), I felt like I can easily tip it over (By all means the smaller Powerhide is a good bag, just wasn't for me). I'm 6' tall and 215lbs. This bag is firm all around, there are no random hard spots unlike the smaller Powerhide heavy bag. I came with a large carabiner, swivel and the four chains with carabiners to attach the bag. I cant speak for durability, time will tell but I have a feeling this bag will last me for years on end. Lasted only 2 years. Seems tore open. Absolute trash. My 200 banana bags have lasted twice as long with people power kicking the crap out of them and this bag was omly used for boxing and fell apart. I taped it to try to save it but no dice. It’s done.

Very nice bag. Well made and should last a lifetime or more it maintained. I only gave it four stars because I ordered a 150 lbs bag, and after a week of use, I realized the tag at the top says this is 130 lbs bag. I didn’t feel like the hassle of return was worth 20 lbs of extra resistance. I also had to fill the top above the pad that has extra area with old rags to get rid of the huge creases caused by bags that are unfilled around the zipper, which t could be filled and pack better from the factory to remove any gaps it looks better too).I’ll upload pics later. I would highly recommend this bag other than the wrong weight issue and simple homemade fix for the space at the top. ... show more

My item arrived August 10th, a day earlier then expected which is always a nice surprise. I bought the 200lb bag and it arrived at exactly 200lbs, I wasn't sure if I was going to need to buy sand and fill up the cylinder in the middle, also keep in mind this is a soft filled bag with a cylinder in the middle which you use to fill with sand to bring the weight up. I believe the max is about 200lbs. With soft filled bags you don't need to worry about sand settling to the bottom of the bag and creating hard spots and weak spots above where you normally hit. Moving right into the quality, this bag is amazing. I will say Ringside in terms of equipment is the best not only in quality but value. Normally I buy Title gloves and wraps but for my training equipment, always Ringside. Ringside did a stand up job wrapping and protecting the bag during shipment. The chains to hang the bag were also included. Thank you very much Ringside, can't wait to buy from you guys again. =) ... show more

I was expecting it to arrive folded then I would have to fill it like some other viewers noted, but to my surprise it came already stuffed full of cut up fabric. This is a high quality bag that comes with the necessary chains & hooks to hang it. Very durable & looks good!

    • Best available heavy bag **EDIT - While it lasts... **
Update - 2024 I want to clarify that although my original review is from many years ago - this updated assessment comes from 1 year after I purchased the bag & started using it (I only just now came across this and it reminded me to update it.) I dropped my score from 5 stars to 3... I stand behind my comments on the quality of the bag as far as day to day use. It IS well filled and doesn't have hard spots... It was the best price for a 200# bag that I could find. But after just 1 year of regular use I had to toss it because I split it at the seams. If you're a hard puncher and over 190 lbs you will probably hit through this thing within a year or two. I'm 180 and even though I'd technically had it for a year, I didn't even use it for about 4 months during that period and it still split. Ultimately if you want a really heavy bag to work with I think the best option is to do a rubber water bag. These heavy sand/cloth filled ones just don't last because they are stitched together. If you're lighter/don't have a lot of firepower this bag will be amazing for you though! As far as I could tell, this was the only available 200 lb heavy bag on the site - i had a 100 lb bag before this and I kept caving it in and needed something heavier so I got this and it's perfect. The padding on it is excellent and it hides the hard spots on the bag very well. Couldn't ask for anything else in a heavy bag - hell I noticed this is the bag Errol Spence trains on! ... show more

Awesome bag. I've owned bags for roughly 4-5 years, and This is the 4th bag I've bought (because they don't last long), The previous 3 bags were much cheaper bags made by Everlast. I decided to spend more on a good bag this time, and I am NOT regretting it. I've owned it now for 2 months, and I use it 3-4 times a week. It a joy to hit, my previous bags were good for a couple weeks, then the top was soft, middle was decent, bottom was concrete. This bag is still perfect all over. I had one (Everlast) bag rip open before, and I found out the guts are shredded clothes and sealed bags of sand. I'm not trying to rip Everlast...you get what you pay for. So I'll end this chapter simply by saying. BUY THIS BAG, YOU WONT REGRET IT. ... show more
