The newest model of the Ring Battery Doorbell charges reasonably fast with a USB-C cord - no more battery pack, which was a surprise since I missed that in the description. We chose to hardwire the doorbell so the need to remove a battery for a charge shouldn't happen as it will be trickle-charged now. Hardwiring is easily accomplished after removing the old doorbell and using those wires to power the Ring. However, if you don't hardwire and a charge is needed, just pop off the doorbell with the plastic helper (or use a flathead screwdriver), charge it, and pop it back on the mounting bracket. Pretty simple! The picture quality and field of view is very much improved over older Ring doorbells. Installation into siding was quick but needed a drill. Once we figured that out, it was a quick job. A suggestion would be to offer other faceplates instead of just the silver and bronze as various colors would be nice.
