We had a Ring Spotlight camera installed in our backyard. It comes with one battery and although it may be sufficent being that we also installed a solar panel with it, we were concerned that the battery may drain quickly during the cold winter months. We started looking for a second battery to install in the Ring Spotlight camera. There are slots for two batteries, so we opted to find a second battery and settled on this one after reading the reviews. Battery arrived quickly and my wife installed it on the camera. She found it easy to install. She then looked on the Ring app to see how the batteries are holding up and found them both to be working just fine. It's been in the camera now for almost two months and she checks it frequently and says that with the addition of the solar panel, the batteries are staying fully charged. The real test will be in the December, January, and February timeframe. Depending on our experience, I may/may not provide an update. PROS: Works well wiht our Ring Spotlight camera, holds a charge very well CONS: None noted at the time of this review

The battery pack is nice because I can keep one charged while the other is in the camera, since I have two of them. But the battery life is not very good. Mine only last about two weeks, then I need to switch them out. It seems it should last longer than that, like some of my other outdoor camera batteries do.

If you have battery powered Ring product an extra battery pack is a must. Keep one charged and swap out as needed. Ring batteries do not charge quickly so for continuous coverage you need a spare.

I have two of these. Both were charged to 100% before use. One battery is at 83% after 6 weeks. 0.4%/day drain. This camera does not have a lot of daily motion alerts. The other battery is in a camera that gets lots of alerts per day. Went from 100% to 94% in 6 days. 1%/day drain. So I guess your recharge interval will vary based on the amount of alerts the Ring gets per day.
