After the first initial time of using it, the batteries held charge for the same amount of time that they would have if you used the orange cord that came with your Ring cams. Great product! I bought the ring doorbell3 for my wife last year for Christmas. I hardwired it to the original doorbell and the battery lasted one whole year before I had to recharge it. I bought a new battery so I could have a second one but honestly I’m not sure I needed it. The only issue that I have with my ring doorbell is sometimes it doesn’t register when we go in and out the front door and at night.
