I did have some difficulty getting this to synch with my RING system. It would not pair. I was so frustrated I was on the verge of returning it. However, I called RING technical support and they were very patient and professional with me, and got it to pair successfully. So now it is working quite flawlessly. I still have my first generation keypad, but I bought a second generation because I wanted another keypad in another room. I am very happy now. So I give it five stars due to technical support being so helpful. I had my RING system for several years. So far, so good. I like RING a lot better than ADT and you cannot beat the $100 a year monitoring service along with cameras with RING. Even the fire and CO2 detectors are awesome. I really need CO2 protection as I have natural gas appliances. If you have natural gas you must have these CO2 detectors.

I bought 3 of these. One for each door and one for the bedroom and they are incredibly easy to set up, they connect with no hassle and they "just work". I always had the professional alarm systems and was skeptical of these set up yourself, wifi alarms. But the ease with which this set up, connected and worked made me a believer in the DIY alarm set up. I also discovered that they did not have to be plugged in and work on a rechargable battery that is in the keypad. So, the set up look is incredibly clean. I have had them hooked up since right after Christmas and the batteries are still close to 100%. To prolong the charge, keep the motion sensor part off if the keypad is in an area with a lot of motion (i.e., bedroom etc.).

Update: I'm very happy because ring solved the problem quickly, they send me a new keypad. "I bought this keypad on July 27, 2022, it's in my bedroom, I almost don't use it, because I have programmed the automatic activation of the alarm and in the morning when I leave I only sometimes use the one at the exit door, almost always what I use is the mobile app to deactivate the alarm, and this keyboard stopped working a month ago, I reset it to the factory settings, I connect it to the charger, and nothing works, it is dead."

We had an older version and decided to upgrade. This works well and has more features compared to the old one. We aren't getting rid of the old one, just moving it to a different place in the house and the new one by the entrance.

I wanted the convenience of a second pad at the front door. It was a very easy install. The setup was simple and I am really happy that I have the convenience of keypads at both main doors.
