I have had it for a couple of hours and for the size and price it works well with the testing I have done (all stick welding). I will be using it on some small repair projects around my house and to start a few metal work projects. I will update my review once I have used it more.

When this arrived as an activity for my adult son and I to share his mind was blown. He’s been so excited to use it I almost regret getting it because it’s a never ending litany of projects and ways we use it. Lol It sets up easily enough, works as promised, and has great safety instructions. You just need to get a helmet, gloves, and an apron. Oh, and sturdy boots (preferably steel toe.) The welder works as advertised for light duty welding. However, the accessory package is useless. If you want to enjoy using this welder, plan on buying a pair of welding goggles/mask, gloves and a good quality wire brush separately.

If you are building a race car or a gate for a stadium, this is not for you. But if you are doing minor repairs or small fabrication projects, this welder will work nicely. The accessories will get you by, but I would highly recommend at least getting a better welding hood. The auto darkening types are not that expensive and really helps when you are just learning how to start the weld. ... show more

Firstly, this welder is ultra compact as you see in my pictures, so you can take it anywhere you want. Second, it works with 110 or 220v, so it doesn't matter what voltage you have at home, you can use both. Third, it works properly and has strong welding capacity which can weld even thick metal as well. Also, the fan is super quiet in compare to other brands. Very handy and recommended ... show more

This is a great welder for someone that's wanting to learn how to weld or someone that only does occasional light welding. Another reviewer mentioned not using the electrode clamps it came with and I can second that. I really like that it's small enough that I can take this with me if I need to go somewhere to do some welding or a friend or family member needs help. Instead of bringing whatever needs welded back to my place to weld it, I can just take this with me and it will work on a household 20 amp outlet. ... show more
