Rightline Gear Truck Tents Turn Any Spot Into a Comfortable Campsite. Check Sizing Guide Below for Correct Size. The Rightline Gear Truck Tent features a floorless design that allows you to set up and take down the tent without removing your gear from the bed. It also prevents the tent from picking up the dirt and grime that may be on the truck bed. The soft polypropylene straps and plastic buckles won't damage the truck's finish. All of the dome poles are marked with a colored tape that corresponds with its matching pole pocket. There is no guessing as to which pole goes where, so set up is quick and easy. The use of the rainfly is optional; you can easily add it, depending on weather conditions. Simply position the rainfly over the tent, connect the (3) buckles on each side of the tent and adjust the straps. Tie the (3) strings around the rear edge of the rainfly to the tent poles. Make sure the rainfly’s seams are lined up correctly with the poles and you're done! Use our Truck Tent Sizing Guide (located under Product Guides and Documents) to find your truck’s year, make, and model. Then double check by measuring your truck bed by hand. The measurement should be within a few inches of what is listed as the bed length. If your model truck is missing from the sizing guide, it means that there is not currently a tent to fit it. This was very easy to set up in the back of my Silverado. The instructions were easy to follow. It has a couple of windows for cross ventilation. It comes with a nylon fly that is very easy to use and should provide extra protection from rain.

I love this tent. It fits my 18 Tacoma double cab 6’ bed perfectly. It feels sturdy enough with no gaps. I give it 3 stars because I had a seam rip the second time I set it up. I have read the reviews and I knew that they reported a lot of seams ripping so I was careful not to over tighten the straps when setting it up. It still ripped so I think it was defective. Set up is easy if you follow the instructions and takes 10 to 15 minutes. If they replace it and the new one is ok I will update my review. UPDATE: I received a new tent in 3 days. I inspected the seams and it looked ok. I went camping and was very careful when setting it up. I recommend reading the attached instructions carefully. Make sure the seam lines up with the edge of your bed and don’t tighten ANYTHING until the very end. And even then, do not tighten anything very tight. I have the 3-fold tonneau cover and the tent fits over it when folded up. It’s a tight fit but not a problem. Bottom line-I am very happy with this tent. If they would reinforce the seams especially on the front corners (near the cab) it would be perfect. I am skeptical about the durability due to single-stitched seams and thin material, but for 4-5 times a summer it is perfect. I gave it 2 more stars. I love the design. It’s roomy. Good ventilation. The zippers are good enough but like most zippers you still need to be careful with them. I like that there is no floor so you don’t have to empty the bed to set it up. And it fits perfectly.     • You need to look at and consider this tent!
It has withstood a small wind and a good rain storm. I have to say this has been one of my best Amazon purchases of all time. It fits the Chevrolet Colorado very well. You will have to jimmy rig the tent to sit up good and taunt. If you don't the front door may concave and collect rain water. The tent has 4 small windows, just big enough to let the air/wind circulate, and on the top center so you can see the night sky. Some bugs may get in because the tent does not cover completely around the tailgate but it gets the job done for everything else. This tent is so easy to setup, and take down. The poncho was a huge help during the wind and rain storm, but of course it blocked the windows and air flow. That is where the tent not covering the tailgate 100% came in handy, all that wind was still able to circulate through the tent. A little rain water was still leaking through the zipper on the door but no huge issue for me. ... show more

Only used one so far on a multi night trip. Tent was very easy to set up; the instructions were clear and concise, both in the verbiage and the pictures. Took a little bit of work to get it arranged just right on the bed rails. We found it easier to align it on the rails after putting the poles in first, contrary to the instructions. Our setup in the pictures is a VERY thick inflatable queen sized mattress on top of a 9 inch platform. As you can see, it doesn't leave much room to get in. This was a quick trial run, so we intend to invest in a folding foam mattress that'll give us about 10" of clearance back. Even with that, there was plenty of headroom. Another downside for our setup... my bed is 5'6". I'm 6'4" tall. With the way the tent extends over the tailgate, there's plenty of room. However, with the slant of the door side of the tent, combined with the super thick mattress, we had some issues with fully closing the door flap. That was due to our setup, though, and not the tent. The zippers, straps, buckles, hooks, rain fly and tent materials are appear to be good quality. My only complaint would be that the skirt on the inside, that sits on the rails, didn't want to hang inside the bed so much as sit on top of the rails. That could be an alignment thing, but I'm not sure. Either way, it was a minor issue. Overall, we're very happy with ours. ... show more

This tent is easy to set up, easy to take down, packs down small enough and is very waterproof. We use it year round... Plan on using it in May during an Oregon/California coastal road trip from BC. I highly recommend this tent. Rightline gear seems to be very engaged with their customers online as well which is nice to see. I guess the only downside is that this tent has no bottom. We usually have a small broom with us and quickly give the bed a sweep before set up. If its wet out we throw down a small tarp. I did have one occasion where the tent wasn't set up tight enough and because it has no bottom the mosquitos found their way in the gaps. The mosquitos were VERY bad at that location though and I have never had any bugs come in any other time. Solid purchase! Our camping friends have all converted to truck bed tents because of ours, hehehe. I also prefered the color scheme to some of the other truck bed tents out there but that's just me. Update! Still love this tent. I have a new truck new and I repurchased this tent in a smaller size so I could use it with the new vehicle. Rightline's customer service has proved to be excellent as well. I received the second tent I purchased from amazon nut when it arrived it was missing the rain fly. As I am a canadian purchasing from amazon.com (not .ca) and picking up my items from a parcel place across the line returning the tent to amazon was a costly hassel. After contacting rightline and providing proof of purchase they promptly sent me a replacement rain fly. I am a huge advocate for rightline gear. Gwt one of these tents. Instructions were good, did it by myself, two people would be easier for sure. Fits very snug, I worry about the stitching, seems like there’s a lot of stress on some areas. Roomy and like the hooks to secure, heavy plastic that won’t scratch the truck. When taking it down and folding the poles, one of them snapped and broke. Waiting for a response from the seller. Can’t find anything online for a replacement part. I know it’s based on your bed length and all trucks are different. I hope the stitching holds up. Love the look. Hopefully the seller responds. Love the windows and skylight. Should be good air flow. Just get someone to help you set it up. You can do it alone but two people would be easier. ... show more

This is from Alabama, where we tend to have more ice issues than snow. We may make the milk industry a ton of money every time snow is mentioned, but the ice is the problem. I was caught out in the past, unable to get home for days and with the same threat looming recently (today), I decided to prepare as best I could on a small budget. This tent fit the needs I had. If I had gear in my truck bed, I didn't want to unload everything first. I just wanted to set up the tent and be covered. That was the main focus. Digging through Amazon, this was one of the few options available. Reviews were solid and, in hindsight, generally accurate. My first experience with the tent is under the conditions I bought it for. I set this up, first time, in the wind and rain and sleet. Lessons learned, but actually really easy to accomplish. I probably looked like an idiot in my driveway, but best kind of practice is real world so I did it. Thankfully, this was not me being stuck away from home though. Set up was rather easy. Do the tailgate. Snug up the front. Come back and do the interior straps (important!). Then snug up the other straps. Run the poles. Done. The straps make setting up in the wind easy, just use the wind to your advantage. This first run took probably 15 minutes. Aside from hooking this to your truck, it's just like any other dome tent you are likely familiar with already. I'm sitting in it now, the wind is whipping up to some decent gusts pretty frequently. It's raining still, just as hard as it was during set up. No water coming through, no real breeze makes it in to the tent aside from through the bed rail where my truck has holes behind the stake pockets. Big gusts will let some wind in from there but it's really nothing. Probably a good thing since I am also running a buddy heater in here, give some ventilation. The frame holds up to the wind very well, but the fabric is a bit loose so it whips around a good bit, mostly in the tailgate area. I figure it's a one size fits most issue and I will look to see how I can fix that going forward. I did set it up under crappy conditions so I may have missed something. Headroom is great. At the peak, there is more than any topper will give you, except maybe a highboy. Makes for a comfortable sitting position, even almost to the sides of the bed. The tailgate being down gives you that much more room in this thing. Excellent design. I'm happy with the purchase. It is evident that this not a wholly Chinese endeavor. The instructions are clear and well written. The quality is really top notch. Fitment is good. Price was right and worth spending a few extra dollars. For my 2015 Silverado 1500, the 6.5 version is a great fit. If you are on the fence, rest assured this is a great option. ... show more

Fits my 2021 Chevy Colorado 6' long bed perfectly. (Item # 110761) No problems with initial setup (in driveway) 1 person setup (I'm 6'2") Fits OVER my fold up BakFlip bed Cover (MX4)! Fold it up to the last panel and use as a bedside TABLE in the tent. I didn't see any part of the tent that was stressed/stretched, Corners fit well but not too tight I'm confident it won't tear. Most stress on the pole retention sleeves, which are heavy duty, so we'll see. Rainfly snaps in place easily. Covers entire top of the tent. I'm a fair weather camper, so dont plan on needing it, but.... Can't wait to hit the road. ... show more
