This thing is strong and sturdy, quick and plenty of power, and the folding feature is so convenient. You will have to adjust the computer to reach full speed but after doing so I am a 6’2 200 lb person and it takes me a full 30mph on flat ground. Keeps you at 15 going up a pretty steep grade. The media could not be loaded. It took 3 hrs to assemble due to the front wheel axle is unusually too short. Barely able to get the nut to grip the brake rotor side. Had to use the rotor and a wide mouth pliers to squeeze that side of the fork hoping it hold up. Nevertheless, all other assemble were more than 30%. Surprisingly, all my work on it paid off. This bike is off the chart in performance. Very quiet and super smooth. Will get you from point A to your destination very quickly. I have 2 now and the other is 500w whereas the ridstar is 1000w with impressive power and speed. Instructions need more info, suchas you're receive 2 different set of keys but no illustrations on where it goes. You have to look every area of the bike to find it. Long keys goes underneath (right above the big pedal sprocket) and the short is located on right side handle bar. Then on the left handle bar is the power button and ýou have keep press until gage lights come on. I had built 2 high maintenance motorized bike that goes 43 mph and recently sold 1 just to transform myself with the ebike. The Ridstar bike maynot go as top speed fast but it will beat any motorize bike out of the hole and get to it destination faster because of its explosive takeoff. Thx Ridstar. I’ve only put 11 miles on this the battery seems to be holding up well brakes work good comfortable to ride I had to adjust the derailer but no big deal this thing is built tough the wires are all tucked away nice will up date later

I just got the bike and have about 40 miles on it now, some gravel road but I took it out to some trails and it handled well. It’s a big bike and it weighs just over 70 pounds so the handling is definitely a challenge compared with a traditional mountain bike but having the motor on the climb makes it worth it. It does have a huge design flaw. The rear fender when it is installed actually locks out the rear suspension. I’m 270 so during the downhill I actually broke the metal attachment from the fender to the bike and suddenly the rear suspension started working. After looking at it closely I realized that the way they engineered the fender attachments bridged the mechanisms for the suspension making the suspension useless. Needless to say, the fender rattles now so I’m pulling it off. The bike is super solid (besides the fenders) and with the tires inflated to 20lbs it rides really smooth. You can feel the weight when you ride it but it’s not so heavy that you can’t ride it like a regular bike. The seat is super comfortable, the display is nice, the gear shifters are Shimano and work well (so far), the 4” tires are great on gravel and trail and with the bike folded in half I can fit it into the back of my Crosstrek with the seats down. After tax the bike was $1400 and worth every penny….so far. I did get up to 35 mph on flat road with just battery power but to say it’ll go 50 miles like that I’m extremely skeptical. I’m a big guy so I don’t expect to get great mileage but for me the benefit of the bike is that I’m back on the road and with the power assist I can get exercise and go wherever and enjoy it. If you aren’t at least 5’ 11” I’d look at the 20” wheel version because the frame for this one sits pretty high and getting on and off would be a bummer. I would buy this bike again in a heartbeat. I got my wife and 13 year old son the version with the rear shock and the 20” wheels and am really impressed with them. Super easy to use and the size is perfect for anyone under 6’, plus they are only $850. ... show more

Bike seemed great for two months & then completely failed. Tried to submit an Asurion claim - good luck. Asurion will try to make it impossible to get coverage, worthless product. Amazon refuses to help at all - third party seller. This is the first & last larger item I’ll order here after getting $800 scammed out of me on this deal. Stay away from this bike, Asurion & third-party sellers. Amazon will not help you. ... show more

Bought this to do scouting and hunting with and is several thousand cheaper than the other ones. This thing is a Blast I love it! I'm pretty heavy 250lbs and it pulls me along no problem. This bike is way bigger than you think it is, 20" fat tire is about as big as a full size bike!
