Maybe an unusual application, but we have some pet ducks that come back to their duck resort every evening for dinner and safety overnight. This is nothing more than a garden shed that became a duck house and nesting area that our daughter made a "Duck Resort" sign for. On sunny days the shed does get very hot at times. We ordered this exhaust fan, installed it in the highest point blowing outwards. The environmental control on the fan turns it on when needed so it does not run all the time wasting power.     • Good fan with a lot of features.
This fan has a lot of useful features for a unit in this price range, and makes a great primary ventilation fan in an indoor gardening or grow setup. It's a more affordable alternative to some of the more expensive name brand options in this space. In my tests so far, I've found the fan to be well-made, relatively easy to set up and use, and to function as advertised.     • Makes for a safer workshop environment
This is one of three units in my workshop; one located near my lathe for exhaust, one near my multipurpose work as exhaust, and another near that workbench as a cooling blower. This particular one is used as the workbench exhaust to remove soldering and solvent fumes, depending on the project, be it soldering, paint stripping, or use of large quantities of CA glue. The controller has a wider range of functions than needed for my purposes, but does serve as a convenient speed controller to adjust for the quantity of fumes generated, or the distance from the intake.     • Programmable exhaust fan, not quite "silent"
If you're looking for a cheaper alternative to some of the higher priced duct fans, this falls in the mid range pricewise compared to the higher end AC Infinity and the cheap Vevor and similar offerings. It doesn't give a CFM rating, which makes it hard to compare. This fan can be programmed using the control panel to start and stop at various temperature or humidity settings, can run based on a timer, and can be manually controlled. Manual control is accomplished through a rotary input and goes from 0 to 10. The fan responds in steps so a significant change in power can take a few seconds. Not entirely silent, but reasonably quiet. There are a variety of mounting options supported from suspended to surface mount. The controller has two control outputs, so it looks like you could have multiple fans running from the same controller. So far this has worked well and I have no complaints. ... show more
