This unit does exactly what I needed it to do. I have a 3' x 2'.5'', 4' high grow room and it keep the smell away and the temps where I need them to be. I have my unit set to turn on automatically if temp hits 75 or humidity goes above 50%. Noise is Okay, but you can't expect anything quieter when the fan needs to adjust when your grow space adjusts. I do wish the 'min temps' setting would be programmed to STOP the units if temps or humidity fall below a certain point, but it does not work that way. That is probably the only downside, it is one or the other. ... show more

My ice maker bin is doubling as a seedling grow box and the in-line fan’s adjustability is a positive addition to my box setup. Low noise levels help a lot. Plenty of suction power when the temps go up.

I wish I could give it 0 stars. This is the OLD controller that is only capable of controlling lights and the OLD fan that is not controllable, except by a manual knob NOT INCLUDED. And to top it off, the controller power supply is also NOT INCLUDED. Yes, the new versions of these things are powered nicely through RJ12, but this is not. Especially disappointing that this is being sold through the official Mars Hydro storefront. ... show more

*UPDATED REVIEW* After a couple of days of back and forth with customer service the issue I originally experienced has been resolved. The heat and humidity settings on this fan work AMAZING. The temperature inside my tent stays between 75°-80° and the humidity is between 70%-80%. This fan works great, was easy to install and is lightweight which is good if you have to install it alone. If you have any issues just contact Mars Hydro, it may take a few days but they will get back to you. ... show more

The 4" Mars Hydro inline filter/fan unit works very well in my 2.5 x 2.5 tent. It creates good airflow and has the basic features such as temp and humidity triggers. And if you do have problems, Mars Hydro provides excellent customer service

My temp probe just stoped working…it’s stuck on 00 ..n the rh is stuck on 50% I only had it about a month EDIT: They reached out immediately and are sending a new one..don’t let this review steer u away from not purchasing it’s still an awesome in-line fan and sometimes things happen, and if they do Mars hydro will replace it with no issue. This is an excellent little in-line fan that seems to pack some power and would be ideal for a 3x3 space. It has a great rate of air exchange that can be turned up or down on their digital controller where you can also set alarms for high/low temps and humidity which can be extremely useful for monitoring purposes- it also comes with the appropriate size carbon filter, ducting, and ducting clamps so you can get everything set up right away! Product did not come with a power source. The head unit cannot control anything because there is no power. This is the ONLY reason I got this package.
