We purchased this for a family beach trip and we were very happy with the product. Pros: -Very lightweight and compact for the size of shade provided -Setup was easy. With three adults helping it took about 5 minutes but I am confident that one person could have it ready to go in less than 15 minutes. -Plenty of shade! We had 4 adults, two toddlers, and an infant. We had plenty of room in the shade for adults to relax and left a corner of the shade clear for the toddlers to play in the sand. (This was with the 10x10 model) -Held up great in the wind! We had a steady breeze all day with some larger gusts. We even saw one of the traditional metal frame pop-up tents get blown down the beach with the larger gusts but our Rhino Valley Beach Tent held up great. Cons: -Might be too large for a crowded beach. This was not an issue for us, but if you deal with crowded beaches with limited space, the required footprint to secure the tent may be difficult. Summary: The Rhino Valley 10x10 Beach tent was perfect for our need and worked wonderfully. The provided shade kept us cool and the compact size saved my back from hauling it to the beach. It was sturdy in the wind and held up great. I would absolutely recommend this to someone needing shade for a larger area. A good tip for set up is to spread the corners to stretch the fabric pretty tight and fill the sand bags as full as you can. We used this method and had no issues even on the first set up.

I saw some bad reviews for these shades but I had no problems with setup at all. Winds were 10 mph and no issues. Even got to 15 mph one day and while it flapped a little more than the other days it held up nicely. For the longest I sat under it with no sunscreen and had no issues at all with feeling burnt or being sun burnt. As one who loves the beach but doesn’t want to be in the direct sun as much, this shade is amazing! There’s no bar stuck in the middle to mess up the space like regular umbrellas and plenty of room to move around. The best part could be the small bag that it folds into making it easy to carry and store. Love this tent and highly recommend!

Bought with the intention of using at the beach of course, but seeing as our beach vacay is still a week away, I put it through some trial runs at my daughter's softball tournament over the weekend. LOVE that it is lightweight and easy to pack away/carry, in comparison to the ubiquitous "camp shelter tent" that has metal poles/frames and are quite heavy. I would say that setup takes two people about 5-7 minutes, and takedown is even easier. The real key is to get good tight tension between opposing corners, and to not set the same-corner "tentacles" too close together. While this hasn't been up against a strong beach wind yet, it was blowing about 15-25mph consistently at the softball fields yesterday, and it stood up just fine (even using the thin metal stakes). I'm optimistic that the bags filled with sand will be even better.

I love this sun shelter! I set it up every day for a week at the beach and it took all of 10 minutes each time. This shade has two sandbag holders at each corner making the shade very stable in beach winds. The support poles are light but strong and have a cushioned end that fits next to the fabric. The ties are substantial and easy to snug down quickly. The 10x10 size makes it easy for 6 people to comfortably fit in the shade. Everything in the bag is very light and easy to transport and there is ample room in the bag for everything.

Easy to use once we realized that the most important step is to TOTALLY fill the sand pockets before putting up poles, or else the poles will fall. Once we realized that, it was a snap to put up & stayed up all day. So lightweight & easy to use.

Easy setup and take down, provides good amount of shade. Sturdy and holds up with typical beach wind. Stores into a small bag that is easy to transport vs a heavy canopy. Great value and recommend buying for a beach trip.

I bought this because the reviews were good. It's HORRIBLE. It's not great for the beach. It takes double the time to put up than the pop ups. It didn't stay up at all. In order to put the stacks up so it doesn't fall over they have to go into where you are sitting which means you lose the sitting area. It kept falling with the sand in the bags. We ending up taking it down because it kept falling
