I bought this brand because I’ve been through two Ecosmart tankless heaters. Both of them were good for about a year and then the problems begin. I was fed up with bringing a multi meter down to the basement and spending an hour trying to diagnose which component had malfunctioned. Spent the extra money and went with Rheem because I’ve seen that brand at many expensive houses I work at. I installed the heater today and put it on 140 degrees to test it out. The water was so hot I couldn’t even touch it. Even when the Ecosmart units were brand new they never heated water like this. Rheem has a higher flow rate which makes all the difference. Cleaned up the look in the garage so much getting big tank water heaters out, takes a tad longer to get hot water started, but does seem to last well.

It was easy to install and has been working exactly the way they described it should. I have not had it long enough to say any more at this time. But so far so good. The Craftsman I had before this, it quit working only months after getting it and they replaced it twice with products that quit working almost immediately. ... show more

I bought this for a 3 bedroom home with 2 full bathrooms and it will not pass inspection. The county building inspector says I need to buy a new water heater because this one will not meet code requirements.

So far so good. The installation is easy for some one with electric and plumbing knowledge, but the heater works great i have 3 bathrooms, the laundry and the kit hen. All hit water works perfectly so far.
