  • Product works really well. Company very responsive with issues.
Color: Black Size: 18.5mm
Purchased in November of 2023. Picture was great, install easy. Had some issues in August of 2024 with no picture. Emailed company and they sent me an entirely new unit within the week. Excellent service.

  • Saved me $40,000
Color: Black Size: 18.5mm
'03 BMW X5 has the worst stereo ever devised by man. I'm sure it was slick 20 years ago, but we were considering purchasing a replacement in order to get modern features, like a backup camera. Instead I replaced the head unit with Sony AX5600, and this backup camera. The camera is very well designed and has made a huge impact on the usability of the X5. Installation: I screwed it up. I forgot to tighten the set screw on the included drill bit, so it wobbled a bit when I drilled the hole in the tail gate making it a touch too big. Once the camera was snapped into the hole, it moved around, so I just put a bead of silicone adhesive caulk around it, let it set overnight, problem solved. Reverse Image: The head unit has a setting to reverse the image. I must have set it by mistake, so when I first got it going the image was set up as a front view, making it worthless as a backup camera. I contacted the seller through Amazon and the responded immediately. Before you cut the green wire, make sure your head unit is configured correctly! In summary; Great product, great customer service, great value. ... show more

  • Works well for the price point
Color: Black Size: 18.5mm
I installed this on a 2014 Jeep Wrangler with an Alpine Car Play head unit and had zero issues. I did cut the cable for the backup guide as it was useless without the turning feature. I mounted this with a bracket I fabricated and attached to the mounting bolts for the spare tire. Car washes, winter weather, and off road didn't affect the camera quality or the usage at all. Cable was more than long enough to route through the back access door, along the trim, under the door seal, and up into the dash. Had probably 10' left that I just zip tied up with the wiring harness. Overall easy plug and play. Image leaves a bit to be desired, but I'm just looking at how close I am to something, not the texture and detail on it. ... show more

  • DIY rear view camera for my Travel Trailer
Color: Black Size: 18.5mm
I bought this camera and a few other parts to build a lower priced DIY rear view camera to use behind my 30 ft 5th wheel RV. Before I get into the details I want to say that having the camera looking behind my RV was amazing and it will be very hard to ever go backwards in time and not have a rear view camera when towing an RV. So the set up I used is as follows. Parts from Amazon: 1. (1) RAAYOO Direct L002 170 Degree Wide View Angle back up Camera 2. (1) EKYLIN 30 foot Car RCA DC Video Extension Cable 3. (1) Electop Audio Video Gold RCA Female to Female Coupler Adapter 4. (1) Youmei Car Backup Camera Realtime Video WiFi Transmitter 5. (1) SPARKING DC 5.5 x 2.1mm Car Charger Power Supply Cord - 12v -24v 4FT Cigarette Lighter Male Plug to DC Connector 5.5 x 2.1mm Cable 6. Plus you will need a tablet or smart phone to view the video image app. I used a tablet I already owned but the app also worked on my smart phone I mounted the Reverse Backup Camera on the inside of the RV high up in the rear window of the fifth wheel using one of the window frame screws and then added the 30 foot Video Extension Cable to run from the camera up to the front of the RV where I connected it to the WiFi Transmitter on the inside of the RV which was powered by the 12 volt Car Charger Power Supply Cord. Luckily there was already a 12 volt outlet in the very front area of the RV. We install the extension cable between the camera and the transmitter before each trip and uninstall it after we arrive at each location. It takes just a minute to do. The cable just lays on the floor when underway. The reason the WiFi transmitter needs to be in the front of the RV is to reduce the distance and reduce signal interference from walls between the transmitter and the tablet located in the cab of my pick-up truck. After getting the WiFi transmitter linked to the tablet via the app, which was somewhat of a hassle, the system worked pretty well except for a few occasional cut outs and other unstable image problems. I mostly blamed these problems on Wifi interference and just accepted it as normal. I used this system for over one year and the image gradually became less stable. Finally the image was off more than it was on so I contacted the camera vendor, RAAYOO, through Amazon and complained. I really didn’t expect much from them since it had been 15 months since I purchased it and the camera was only $20 to begin with. To my surprise RAAYOO got back to me and had some suggestions regarding troubleshooting the problems. They thought that it was not a camera problem but a power supply intermittent ground problem. So the first thing I checked was the power supply. The power supply cord has a indicator light. And when I wiggled the plug, the light stayed on and steady. This ruled out the power supply itself . I then hooked the cables all back together and started wiggling the connections. Sure enough the image dropped out when the cable was wiggled. So I took out the 30 ft extension cable and hooked up the camera direct to the power supply cables. When wiggled the image was stable. I could not make it drop out. I hooked the extension cable back in and it became unstable again. So RAAYOO was right, the problem was a ground in the extension cable, so I ordered a new cable from a different manufacturer. I now am thinking that the extension cable was probably bad from the day I bought it and the problem just grew worse over time. The camera is working perfectly now that we figured it out thanks to the good support from RAAYOO. I am still enjoying my RV rear view camera and I think it is probably a better system than the factory units that try to transmit the WiFi signal all the way from the rear of the RV to the tow vehicle. It is just too far and too many obstacles for the WiFi to work well. I have not received any kind of compensation from RAAYOO or any other vendor for writing this review. I just hope it helps others troubleshoot their rear view camera issues. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for with this.
Color: Black Size: 18.5mm
Daytime: washed out image. Evening: fuzzy image. Perfect lighting: decent image, but you aren't going to read license plates. Comes with a complete install kit, which, for $16, is a great value, but the video quality is lacking.

  • Clear and easy to install. - Hole saw included
Color: Black Size: 18.5mm
This is a fantastic little back-up camera. It’s not the fanciest nor the most feature-laden, but for the price, it does exactly what you’d expect it to do, and it does it flawlessly. I paired this camera with an aftermarket rearview mirror/monitor on an older model car that didn’t come with a camera at all. Everything works and it should. Tapping into the reverse lights activates the camera when needed, and the resolution is clear on such a small screen. The instructions are simple and easy to follow, but there are a few things I want to add which might help. First of all, it’s fantastic that the camera comes with the 18.5mm hole-saw, because let’s face it, most people don’t have one of those laying around. Anyway, just a couple of pointers…. The camera cover unscrews so that you can use the one that is appropriate depending on your installation method (bracket or flush). My concern was that over time, the camera might loosen enough to make the image tilt to the side, so I suggest using a couple of drops of Loctite on the threads of the camera cover once you’re making your final installation. Also, if you’re going to mount it flush, there is no seal or gasket. There are a few options to seal the installation like silicone, and caulk, but I think the best one is probably butyl tape. It’s forgiving, doesn’t dry up immediately, it isn’t messy, and if you ever need to remove it, that won’t be a problem. And if you’re going to use the bracket, I’d suggest using both products one the sheet metal screws as well. Lock them in place, and seal the opening to prevent any water intrusion. I hope this helps. ... show more
