    • The handles make sealing the top on the Dutch oven difficult.

The end tabs on this device used to lower the bread into the pot, need to be tucked into the pot in order to seal the top. That can result in burns...in my case, definitely. They do work but the extra fiddling to get the handles into the pot to close the top is not worth it to me. Of course your mileage may vary on this. ... show more

    • Straps seem to be marking inside lecrueset dutchoven

It does help to prevent burning on them .bottom of the bread however the straps are a bit worrisome. I think I would rather tip the Dutch oven to remove the bread then try to pull on these straps. In addition, and I'm not sure of this, I do believe that they are mocking the inside of my ke Crueset dutch oven. I plan to cut the straps off ... show more
