This device was not pre charged like other handheld consoles. It did come with a spare controller for 2 player. It can be connected to a TV and came with the bells and whistles for that. It does come with its own cable. The screen protector was super sticky and had to The game choices are perfectly 500 games in 1. I didn’t see any duplication as I went through the list compared to other portable emulated consoles. I am very impressed with it. Perfect for classic video gaming on the go. It works fine with it being charged. Just wasn’t precharged before arrival. 4 stars due to sticky protector that left a little residue on the screen, and the Console didn’t come precharged like other consoles. But, it works fine when charged.

The Retro Handheld Game Console is a bit like having a time capsule of old-school games in your pocket. With a supposed 500 classics and a 3-inch screen, it's a decent throwback. The rechargeable battery is handy, giving you some decent playtime without having to worry about AA batteries. What's cool is you can hook it up to your TV if you have an older one with the red yellow and white cables (composite)and share the nostalgia with a buddy. The blue color is a nice touch, alone with the updated screen too. I do wish you wouldn’t have to select a language every time, have modern plugs for HDMI and a little more fine tune controls. You can definitely tell this isn’t like a ninteno/sony/sega console controller…it has that 3rd party aftermarket feel. Still, it's a solid 4/5 stars from me for delivering mostly what it promises. The number of games does seem to overlap however looking closer it seems those are different variants of the game? Decent amount of games never heard of but fun none the less. If you're into retro gaming, or just enjoy an occasional play while having a talking piece tucked away in end table drawer - it's worth considering.

This units prices similarly to another one that I picked up for a (nanogenarian!) classic-game-fiend in the family. This one has a very similar game selection, but improves on the other unit I picked up (one of the ones with a horizontal layout but same sized screen) in three ways. Most importantly, the buttons are less “sloppy” and make for better control. The second player controller (which worked fine) and ability to broadcast to an external screen (which we haven’t had a chance to test) are nice bonuses. All in all, this one was a nice upgrade in a subtle but important way that improves the playing experience.

This game console is easy to play, rechargeable via Mini-USB A, compact, has a second controller, colorful and clear 70mm/2.76-inch screen (not 3"). The controls are effective and responsive plus I like the second controller buttons even better (e.g. larger, concave). The TV hookup is a short 30" Aux component cable and works well with my smart TV producing a large clear picture. I fully charged the battery but the screen went pretty dark after a couple hours of use so I'm not seeing the 5-8 hours of play. The promised "500 different classic games" isn't correct since games 101 to 300 are repeated as the final 200; therefore, I've counted 300 unique games instead. That's still a lot of games and I see a dozen variations of Mario Bros plus four Donkey Kong versions. Overall, it's still a fine value for 300 fun retro games.

The other system, the blue handheld one is like 30$. I'm not sure if either of them comes preloaded because that would again, be illegal... but you can download the "snes roms" with a little Google search and download them and copy them tk the device. You can also find some instructions on how to do that by using Google and putting in the device name and "How to copy snes roms to" (device name goes here)

If you're in to retro games, then get this!! This is the perfect game system for young and old. I played it as a handheld device, but the graphics are better when you plug it into the TV and play. The cords however need to be longer for TV play, but that's the only downside.

The ad states 20000+ games built-in. I got the box, and it states that there are no built-in games and that they must be downloaded. There are NO instructions on setting up the system or how to use it. I look at a lot of the high-star reviews, and some with pictures show a different console. Since I couldn't get the game hooked up, I don't know if the box or the site is correct about the built-in games.
