  • Great classic NES games
Color: Red&blue
Let's get to what you really want to know, what games are on it. I will gladly say this has some classic NES games. Not the 1st party games but some from Akklaim, Konami, Taito, and more. It has Ninja Gaiden 2, Bouble Dragon 2, Tiger Heli, Spyhunter, Jackal, 1942, Adventure Island, and one of my favorites Paperboy. There several classics and a lot I have never heard of, so there is more then NES games on the device. Nothing beyond what seems to be beyond 8-bit. Construction wise the divice is sturdy yet light. The buttons seem of good quality and seem to be durable. There is even a joy pad that works really well. The sound is decent for a device like this, undistorted 8-bit sound. The device will even output to a TV via old school composite AV connections. Battery life has been great. I have played multi-hour sessions multiple times without needing to recharge or even getting a low battery warning. I was even on a 6 hour car ride that I played it most the way, and had no issues making it through the trip without needing to be charged. There are little things that can be annoying like the game names being misspelled or abbreviated so sometimes you just need to select the name to figure out what game it is. The menu system is pretty basic and only shows 8 games at a time when there are over 300 games. At least you can page through them pretty quickly going left or right on the pad. It says 400 games but there are more like a little over 300, some are duplicates. When you boot up you have to choose between Chinese and English and the Chinese is the default. These little annoyances s really don't end up being a big deal after using it a little. Overall this seems like a fantastic device for the price considering the games you get and with device that should hold up. ... show more

  • Easy to use controls, fun combo of classic arcade games and many new ones
Color: Red&blue
Wow 400 games! I didn't try all of them, there is so many, but I did try quite a few. You get classics like Galaga, Dig Dug, Joust, 1942, Spy Hunter (called Sky Hunter in the list of games but it is Spy Hunter), Burger Time, Mortal Kombat, Spider-man and also ones that are games I had never heard of (most really). Most of the unknown to me games looked like copies or blends of more familiar games like Pitfall or Space Invaders or various Mario games, games like Adventure Island (but still fun to play). A few didn't immediately bring to mind other games, games like Dune War and Future Tank, both games I liked a good bit, with Future Tank a fun combination of Pac-man and Combat or any of a number of tank games. Easy to understand controls, you will have to select English or Chinese every time you turn it on. It came out of the box with a charge, that's nice. I wish there was a way to mute or turn down the volume but that doesn't seem to be a feature with these things. Still, I liked it a lot. ... show more

  • Compact Classic Game Console – Nostalgic Fun for All Ages
Color: Red&blue
For the price, this is a great value handheld classic gaming device. It has nearly 400 games, and they’re actually fun to play. The screen is just big enough to enjoy the game you’re playing, and the buttons are exactly where you want them to be for easy use. The overall user interface is nice, though a little clunky. There’s a button (bottom right) that, if accidentally pressed, brings up the language selection screen (English/Chinese), which can kick you out of your game, so watch out for that. But aside from that, the play buttons and directional wheel work great. The battery lasts quite a while, and charging takes a few hours. This is perfect for passing time, traveling, or just when you want to enjoy some old classic games. ... show more

  • Pretty neat but not perfect.
Color: Red&blue
This has a Micro USB charge port. I feel like that’s pretty outdated at this point. Everything has gone to USB C, even my salt and pepper grinder. It also comes with a a single channel AV (Red, white, yellow, minus the white) cable. What is this 1992? If you’re going to add any kind of AV cable in 2025 it should be HDMI or MAYBE DisplayPort for video monitors. Super cool that it has 400 games on it but there is no way to search for a game so if you want to play a game that starts with S for example, you’re going to be scrolling pages for a while. The game play is also not great. I tried RoboCop and couldn’t go down the stairs for example. Also, on Street Fighter II the punch button changes to kick depending on what direction your facing and vice versa. For the feels games I tried, I feel like there were significant game play issues. Lastly, this is super light weight and pocket sized but the screen is too small to see what the heck is going on for some of the games. Neat idea but a bit of quality control needed I think. If you want to step it up from here, I suggest buying a Raspberry Pi and loading Retropie. That way you can play these games on your big TV and use a wireless controller. I’ve played tons of games on there and that gameplay is flawless! ... show more

  • Good but not great.
Color: Red&blue
The Retro Mini Handheld Game Console is fine for what it is. The screen is adequate and the size makes it portable. It does bring back nostalgia in terms of old-school-style games, but, not all are fun or memorable. The buttons work, even if they feel a little cheap after a while. Battery life is average, but you'll probably need to recharge it pretty frequently, if you're playing a lot. All in all, it's not bad for what you're paying, but also not great. More of a diversion, with no real chance of spending hours enjoying . ... show more

  • Nice and simple handheld gaming system
Color: Red
Lets be real, this is a cheap handheld gaming system that does exactly what it is supposed to do, kill time and it does it well for the price. I got this for my son and he likes it a lot. Is it going to replace his Xbox, no, but it is not made for that. It has a good interface and a good selection of games. Perfect size to take with you. I think most kids of any age would like this and I even snag it every now and then to play a few classics. Great product for the price. ... show more
